Sons' sorrow

Possibly Aberdeen are paying dannys wages but sending him out on loan in preparation for replacing langfield.

It used to be 10 years consecutive playing time for testimonials but now if your seen as a good servant to your club it seems it can be incorporated into contract talks, I for one think grindlay deserves one.

Funnily enough, this is what I said a while back. I reckon Grindlay was told he would be 2nd maybe 3rd choice - depending on who was available to bring in - and this is why he took so long to sign. He may have been waiting to see if anything else which he liked the look of came up. He is a true Dumbarton man through and through and has served his time, so if he gets the testimonial then I wouldn't disagree with it.

I've been informed he's not due a testimonial.

Rogers did alright in his short loan spell at Airdrie. Solid keeper and didn't make any mistakes. Bit surprised about hearing him regularly coming off his line as I thought that was weakest part of his game but perhaps he has worked on and improved on it since he played at Airdrie.

I'd rather pour acid in my eyes.

I've been informed the wording of my previous post isn't actually correct. Testimonials can't be organised by the club (well they could, but the money would be taxable) so an external committee has to approach the club to propose organising a testimonial for Stephen. On checking wikipedia he first joined us in 2001, left in 2007 and came back in 2010 so I guess this will be a tenth season for him. I guess it's up to someone who can be arsed organising it.
