the aggressive beggar
I've had a few aborted attempts to get into Mogwai over the years, starting back with the release of Cody. Probably the major factor in this is that I've never seen them live. After listening to the new album on repeat for the last few days I intend to rectify this asap. Wonderful, beautiful album.
Detournement
As good as the new Mogwai and Arab Strap stuff is it's weird that it's so relevant 25 years after they formed. If you told me in 1998 that Mogwai would have a number one album in 2021 and Belle and Sebastian would be doing festivals on cruise ships I would have thought it was less likely than flying cars.

Just need the Delgados to reform I loved the film Lost in France which explores the rise of Scotland's independent music scene (Chemikal Underground) and the trip to France - stars Delgados, Stuart Braithwaite, Alex Kapranos and RM Hubbert. Le Tout P'ti FC
Three UK dates is disappointing. There must be something else in the pipeline later in the year. Something big for the 30th anniversary perhaps? Here’s hoping. I can’t do the date of the Edinburgh Usher Hall, so it’s an expensive trip to London, or a trip to the Leeds Academy (and its very sticky floors and grumpy security) ahead.

STFU_Donny
There’s a fair gap between the Edinburgh date and the next one so maybe they will announce a few more domestic dates.
