welshbairn
How do the bets like this work? Because if I understand correctly (which I probably don't, granted ) you're not guaranteed a winner. If you cover the over 0.5 goals with 0-0 or no scorer with another bookies (to stick to the rules) you get a risk free £50 bet inplay. There are ways to guarantee a small profit, £20 or £30, but somebody else will have to explain it, I'm far too greedy, and have holidays to pay for.

I've covered the chance of it finishing 0-0 by putting £3.85 on 1st goalscorer = No goalscorer at skybet. 12/1. I was tempted not to cover it as I can't see it finishing goalless but I've lost out before (think it was a man utd game)
DumbartonTheSons
Ok, thanks. So if I bet £50 with 365 on say Over 0.5 Goals pre-match, £3-odd elsewhere on 0-0, And then say £50 in play on BTTS F/H with 365 then the job would be a good un? Have I understood that correctly?

welshbairn
Ok, thanks I'll go for that. Maybe too late, but no scorer is usually almost the same odds, but covers the unlikely eventuality of a 1-0 result for either side because of an own goal.

Thanks, I'll go for that. Not put it on yet. Due to my rubbish mathematical brain, can anyone help in advising what my rough stake should be on the 0-0/no scorer?

Fisherman
12/1 - £3.85 (returns just over 50) Or 10/1 (£4.55)
welshbairn
Think I lose £2 if it's not 0-0 and win about 50p if it is. And lose the inplay. That's with a fiver bet on no scorer.
DumbartonTheSons
Thanks for all the help. Got my pre-match bets on now. Over 0.5 on 365 and 0-0 on SB (couldn't find the no scorer so just went for 0-0) Think I might just 'play safe' and go for BTTS rather than BTTS F/H to give myself a higher chance of a profit at least... Cheers
Stuarty
Can't decide in play bet. Either BTTS in the first half or go for goals and over 2.5 goals first half.
KnightswoodBear
Ronaldo is out apparently. That may change some in play bets I imagine
Bully Wee Villa
Was thinking of backing Ronaldo hat-trick but he's injured.
DumbartonTheSons
Wondered if Ronaldo being out was correct, but seems it may be so. BTTS has drifted from 8/13 to 3/4 now, presumably that has something to do with Ronaldo's absence.
Bully Wee Villa
Gone Aguero hat-trick at 22-1. Sure it was 28-1 before kickoff. Boo.

Bully Wee Villa
Me too. What can you do with £1,100? Might stick it on Clyde for next year's cup.
