I look forward to telling my brother in law that a guy on the Internet says he's not Irish. Kerry farmer, family had the same land for two hundred years and a bogger accent the uninitiated would need subtitles for.

You're some machine you.

Is not one of those 'Irish bores' who considers part of his identity having to be rude about the English.

That is what I meant.

A related subject and one for the whining Scots to consider.

If you're English, yes occasionally foreigners make the mistake of considering Wales and Scotland parts of England, but,on the other side of the coin you do meet eg Europeans who have a ridiculously 'Braveheart' romantic way of seeing things.Ther big bad English. The heroic Scots.Poor old Wales rarely gets a mention really.

Also,England gets the blame for the cock ups, like eg Scotland giving back a terrorist to Libya.Much of the world blamed the English for that one.

I noticed once upon a time in a European supermarket, special offers and savings were advertised with a kilted Scotsman doing a jig of joy! :)

The English are portrayed as all posh still in many places.

Etc

You don't half haver some p!sh.

"Much of the world"

Ultimately, and regardless of the attempts by BT to cloud peoples minds with irrelevance, the question will always come back to one simple viewpoint:

Do you believe that Scotland is better served by Westminster, or by the people of Scotland?

For what it's worth, I believe Scotland is a far more Socialist country than England. Our political ideology is different. Nothing wrong with that per se, if your willing to accept that the political will of Scotland will never be refleted by Westminster.

Many Scottish people also have to consider their feelings of 'belonging' to the Union.

I'm just pointing out it does not boil down to "one simple viewpoint."

Also the referendum is for keeps.

Scots must consider that things may change for the better by having MPs representing them in Westminster.

This is no usual referendum/vote.

It is massive and it is not just one question, perhaps especially for those who are proud and happy being Scottish and British.

By the same token then, a no vote is also "for keeps". We may never get another chance to change things for the better, certainly in our life time.

Westminster has had the best part of 300 years to change things for the better. Hopefully no one held their breath.

On joining the Union Scotland enjoyed success' and wealth beyond their it's dreams.

Yeh,evil bad "Westminster".Haha!

Of course, whatever the outcome of the referendum, that's it,for keeps.

So,there is much to consider and the bottom line may not be exactly as you describe for millions of your fellow Scots.

I'm not sure if the Union has been entirely successful for the communities in Scotland decimated by the decline in shipbuilding. I wonder if we'll ever see a similar policy implemented in the City of London.

I have my fingers crossed for all the parts of GB that have been continually ignored by the Eaton b*****ds of Westminster.

Scotland has a chance to get away from this by voting Yes.

Its looking more likely that you'll be stuck with some right wing fruitcakes in westminster from now on. Hard cheese old bean. Those fingers will be crossed forever.

It's no real shock to see a token story like this:

Just days after a story like this:

Vile unionist vermin.

"But the oils volatile and that..."

Sorry, but what, exactly, is so vile about that story?

We'll be able to uncross em to wish you lot a cheery cheerio! ;)

I suppose it'll be interesting as to how things will be for England and Wales if Scotland leave.

Get your vote done, then we'll know and everyone can get on with it,whatever "it" will be.

DeeGas is a plant by Better Together, I was talking to a mate who lives in London now, not spoken to him for a while, he brought independence up, he still wants to vote No, I treated with him with utter contempt like when I read DeeGas' shite and couldn't be arsed explaining properly, I didn't change his mind (yet). Conspiracy.

Team: St. Mirren.

Just saying!

The answer is, its a non story, designed explicitly to stoke up fear and uncertainty and distort what are some pretty good figures for the Yes campaign. Off any other broadcaster it is bad enough, but off our publicly funded state broadcaster? Disgusting.

That showed him then :)

The nationalists who treat Scottish Brits so rudely are not forgotten by the Unionist vote or potential vote.

Carry on being cheeky.

The only conspiracy is getting the unwary, uneducated and to be honest, thick gits, to back up Yes Scotland.

Too many ifs, buts, maybes and whataboutery for the educated to fall for the trap.

I'll gladly shake hands with those guys who went out and about, pushed their agenda and trotted the streets to try to get what they believed in. The mince talkers who simply spouted shite on here can GTF.
