SodjesSixteenIncher
Was standing on the top floor of Cargo last night looking down admiringly at sjc's boat. Was tempted to head down and knock on the window. That might've been a bit weird.

Confidemus
SJC, have you ever thought of dressing like Richard Gere from An Officer and a Gentleman to attract the canalside clunge?
Guest The Phoenix
SJC, have you ever thought of dressing like Richard Gere from An Officer and a Gentleman to attract the canalside clunge? I reckon he's more Ewan McGregor than Richard Gere.

gc_smfc
I've heard of the rock dumping method.....but you've lost me.....my civil engineering is limited to dry land I'm afraid! How long you be doing it? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Pie & Bovril mobile app Started in September, straight out of doing my Masters degree at Glasgow. I couldn't imagine doing anything else work wise.

MONKMAN
A small part of me regrets reading this thread. Although i've never really considered it, I'm slightly torn inside at the thought that I'll never live on a boat.

sjc
Do you have barnacles on the bottom? My arse is perfectly smooth thank you very much! You can get things clinging to the hull though......I had to get mine steam cleaned (and re-blacked) because the boat came from Nottingham and risked bringing an invasive species of shrimp into the Scottish canal network. Aloysius Snuffleupagus
Do you ever take the boat for a 'run' down the canal? With a bit of planning, you could use it to travel to away games.

I've only sailed her from Grangemouth to Edinburgh and to be honest it's a bit of a pain in the arse! Have heard Partick Thistle being mentioned but it would take 4 days to get there never mind getting back!
