SJC's Boat Thread

Does it not get freezing on that boat during the winter on the icy waters?

No mate. Have 3 ways of heating it.

The central heating (radiators) via the engine or the hook up electricity and the multi fuel stove.

It gets so hot with the stove on that I have to open the doors sometimes!

Thinking we need pictures of the inside of this boat

Obviously the canal isn't particularly wide or tidal, and I'm assuming your boats tightly moored... But I was wondering - What's living on your boat like in high winds? Or is it too low and well sheltered to really feel it?

I have my boat tightly chained to the mooring with 3no tyres fixed to the mooring as a "buffer" so any movement isn't too severe.

Having seen her in the flesh, she's a fine craft indeed. I'd stop in for a chat, but I'm usually rushing to work. Mind you with all these new students in the area sjc, you'll need to be careful. Then again it could be the greatest chat up line ever.
