topcat(The most tip top)
Big Tension in Belfast Ireland are chasing 250 after cruising at 108/1 Ireland were quickly reduced to 122/3 after 29 wickets, Afghanistan had been 130/4 at this stage so it's delicately balanced

They should have more respect for the soldiers who fell 326 years ago.

Sorry to be pedantic but it's actually 363 years since the siege of Kandahar

Bold Rover
I was in Coatbridge on Saturday, for the fitba, and was struck by Bank Street, the main thoroughfare, being bedecked with Irish tricolours. Would this have relevance to this thread?

Of equal relevance, in the month of July, perhaps, would be to somehow balance the colours of the young apprentices and their entourage who perform their musical promenade along that boulevard.
KillieCon
Just got stuck behind a march on Paisley Road West. Is it normal to have one this time of year? Don't think I've ever seen one at night before.

Don't think I've ever seen one at night before. It's a Friday evening. Church parade probably? Was it just a band(s) or was a lodge(s) being escorted to thank God for the Williamite revolution? You'll ken if there was a big banner and blokes in suits and collarettes.
KillieCon
Plenty of blokes in suits and a band (just the one I think) with a few blokes giving it laldy on the drums. Didn't see any banners although I didn't hang around for long.

Don't think I've ever seen one at night before. There has been a church parade in this vicinity in September these last few years. This years is this Sunday. Band parades can go on for a while, so they would sometimes finish at night, even during the summer. Church parades can sometimes conclude after dark, depending on the time of year and what time the service is at.

I'm sure the Hibernian Walk is around this time of year, might be wrong on this but sounds like a good bet it will have been.
The_Kincardine
As Jack and I said it's likely a church parade from one of the Govan lodges. The band were probably playing hymns. Hope you enjoyed it
