Car advice

My glovebox won't close- the catch has broken. Am I best ordering one myself and getting someone to do it, or just waiting until Tuesday for it's service and asking them to sort it? I literally have no idea about this stuff, my first car and I want her to be in good shape.

Does it have a light inside?

Depends on the car and where you're taking it, tbh.

If the catch itself on the glovebox lid is away Stellaboz, it should be very straightforward to swap over. Again, depends what kind of car it is and if it's that or the catch on the dash, but you should be able to pick up a replacement very cheaply and quickly.

EDIT: Not really sure how much you're into cars but I'd make a habit of at least making a go of fixing minor problems yourself - I'm honestly not being condescending mate, just that it'll help you in the long run. And if you ever get stuck there's a plethora of YouTube videos for just about anything fixable. Failing that you can always find, erm, reliable info here. :lol:

It's a 2006 Fiesta. I got some quotes for new ones recently as I did jam it shut before but I needed in so now it flaps open like a hoors broth.

Go to your local scrap yard and take one from there, even if you take the whole glove box door it shouldn't cost you more than £5. Then just replace it, it will be a simple enough fix.

Edit: its just a simple pull out job;
