In this case, I'm not sure they'd have to. Even getting the SNP base out will be a struggle. Let's get back to normal. This constant independence chat is holding us back and people are sick of it. This sort of back to normal, moving forward? I can't just say ok games a bogey let's get back in our box. Scotland elected independence supporting parties who had a democratic mandate for a 2nd referendum and were denied it by the UK government. Even daft yoons must see that this isn't an acceptable outcome to the indy debate. All this pish about once in a generation is manufactured whatabouterry. The people spoke and were denied a voice and the Tories, Libs and Labour are all nothing but democracy denying flag shagging britnats.

The retiring Chief Constable seemed to be hinting this morning that the investigation into SNP finances could soon be over, so there might still be time for Humza to hit the reset button before the byelection.

No one's asking you to go back in a box, but to stop howling to the moon about an issue that was settled in 2014. Scots just can't be bothered with it anymore. Unsurprising to see you're motivated by anti-orange bigotry though, just like many other Scots Nationalists although not all. -

Maybe it's more that they always seem to go for a visceral level response to something like a picture of an Orange walk rather than a rational argument revolving around why having a hard border on the Tweed and Solway and a separate currency from the rest of the UK post-independence would make life better in Scotland. Come the glorious day would Spain even agree to Scotland letting into the EU, and would an independent Scotland even be able to meet the requirements to join the eurozone? GTee
Four minutes to pretty much say, too wee, too poor, too stupid. Now including too white, too old, too unhealthy and too fat. Thanks to all the hard working healthy Londoners supplying us with money, energy and manufacturing stuff for us. Be forever thankful.

vikingTON
Colour me shocked to see LtL white knighting for the Orange Order and spraying a fire hose of bullshit deflection about Spain accepting Scotland's EU entry. Fooling absolutely no-one.

He's been at that all summer, tearfully demanding that people have a full understanding of the minute differences between the Apprentice Boys of Derry and the OO before forming an opinion of them, as simply observing their actions each year is insufficient. A bizarre way to live imo ETA just looked up the guy whose video he was quoting - always funny when you can see someone who projects some deep knowledge of every issue is in actuality parroting 6 minute YouTube clips by a guy walking his dog. I mean how can anyone hope to keep up with this level of analysis Edited August 4, 2023 by GHF-23

Whit ye talking aboot man here's a picture of the Govan Protestant Boys or some English morris dancers to remind you why should vote Yes. This is pretty small minded thinking tbh.....you only need to look outside the UK to see the arguments for Scottish independence. There is a whole host of European countries, similiar in size to Scotland who have growing populations and economies that outperform ours. Many of these do not have the benefit of our resources, but they can choose how they structure their economic and social policy to the benefit their own people. That youtubers video is on the whole hilariously low brow .....but it is right in one respect. Scotland is stagnating .... both its population and economy. We are getting poorer in comparison to our neighbours. This is us under "union." The "union" has and continues to cause us real harm. Oh....and the whole Spain blocking us joining the EU misinformation fools no one. The Spanish government have repeatedly said they would have no issue with Scotland in the EU (if that's the route we choose).

Some of their posts are the kind of thing you'd see in a sketch show parodying Nats. Some of them definitely have an underlying bigotry, or not so underlying in the case of Dingus.
