SHOW US YOUR DOGS!

Sadie is wide awake and careering about, which if it wasn't 2am I'd be delighted about.

Was straight back to playing with Shadow last night so no fear there. Shadow slept by her crate the night before.

Shug's just Shug, looking at these pure breeds thinking f**k that, inbred Muppets.

I've gained a reputation as the cookie guy with the other dogs in the park, I was only walking my little mate Max today but the usual suspects came running for treats as soon as they saw me.

He'd be even cuter if he'd stop taking a shit in my bike basket as we head to the park 🤣 to be fair after his hernia operation and being on anti inflammatory medication for a recurring paw issue he doesn't have as much control of his back end.

I'm absolutely fine with that as Louie is such a lovely dog.

The main culprit is Truman ( front middle) she see's me from the other side of the park, runs about 50 metres then crosses a little bridge barking all the way and meets me to claim her treats, we then walk back her owner, dogs eh

Poppy my eldest is like that, knows all the folk that have treats for her, and even tries her luck with folk that don't give her treats. Daisy my youngest always just goes to their dogs looking for a game of chase and be chased.

I have a question that is better suited here than on the Quick Question thread...

When is it appropriate/safe to introduce the father, Sprocket, to the litter? He 100% wouldn't do anything to harm the pups, however mum, Ava, might take his face off if he has a sniff about at the pups? The pups are upstairs in the whelping box and Sprocket has been kept downstairs. Now Ava is wanting to spend gradually more time downstairs with us, we are thinking of moving the pups downstairs to the living room, but that would mean introducing Sprocket.

The dog forums online all have conflicting info and just wanted to get you guys thoughts.

Thank you.

The last time Skye decided to mooch a treat off of a random elderly gentleman who was giving treats to his own wee dog she took the treat, gobbed it on the floor, made a face, gave the guy a dirty look and then went in the huff with me.

I've no idea if I'm getting anywhere with house training.

Tell tail signs if butt bulge and couple places in living room so scoop and run (she's too small get out door on own) along with regular trips to the garden through the day. I put a puppy pad down upstairs over night. She's not asking out yet.

I've also accepted I'm not cut out for crate training 🙈🤣

She will have to go in it when I go back to leaving her as it's safest while wee and other two about. She's not been left this week at all but will start again on Tuesday as she's recovering well.

Shadow is so gentle and loves playing with her, really been making of her.

Teaching them to go on a puppy pad just teaches them to toilet indoors.

Does she get lots of praise for going outside? Millie was sort of toilet trained when we got her and I reckon it was the massive fuss she got when she went outside that did it. We just had to be careful to wait until she'd finished the process or she'd not fully empty herself if she thought she was going to get praised.

Have heard the same as Left Back says above re puppy pads but we've never had a very young pup before.

I know but I'm not always fast enough out of bed at 3am 🙈 they go down as I go to bed and lifted in the morning. She's not been created overnight this week as she was still settling into idea when she got hurt. Didn't want her tearing stitches if distressed in there.

Don't have any downstairs now at all. Lifted front door mat as it was soft.

@Rizzo think need make more of a fuss and treats. Two days in hospital for her probably hasn't helped. She's only 12 weeks on Tuesday so still early days. She's got her spot in garden but has been venturing further. Need clean up garden tomorrow. Shadow shites like an elephant.
