The New Stadiums Thread

Great that Besiktas stuck to their city centre location, just by the Bosphorus, rather than disappear to some distant, out-of-town industrial estate like (I think) Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are.

When will it be ready?

Liverpool will start away from home next season and the seating area will be ready for the first home match in August - all being well. Work inside and around the stand will be on going into the season.

AFC Fylde's new stadium will open this summer

The club are in the Conference North play-offs having played their way from amateur football to that level in the last ten years or so.

You really wonder how many football clubs that part of the world can sustain; with Fleetwood, Morecambe and Blackpool already in the league. But Fylde have rich backers and are very ambitious to get into the league.

I'd hoped to get to the old one...oh well!

ETA: Factor in Preston and a multitude of other clubs.

Does anyone know if Leicester plan to enlarge their ground?

They wanted to increase the capacity to 42,000 - http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-increase-capacity-King-Power/story-26656839-detail/story.html

"There has been speculation that City would look to develop the East Stand and possibly the Family Stand once they established themselves as a Premier League club".
