Save a pen against Hibs at the end of last season - it was a critical game too which the 0-0 helped us finish 3rd.

Fair play to them if there is an audience for it, but it's not for me. Penalties have always been difficult for goalkeepers, but have become more so with the introduction of VAR, so judging him by that is obviously a nonsense. He hasn't been as good as he was in the second half of last season, but Roos is a more than adequate Scottish Premiership goalkeeper. I would say it is likely that we will replace him with a downgrade next season, but it shouldn't be impossible to maybe get a moderate improvement on him if the recruitment is good. I quite like the ABZ Podcast. All about opinions at the end of the day. Think it’s the best one available to us as Dons fans. As for Roos, he’s a bit of an enigma. From February to May last season he was the best keeper in the league, bar none. Out with that he’s frustrating. Capable of great saves, but capable of moments where you wonder why he didn’t do better. I suppose it boils down to whether we can afford anyone better on our budget? Will be difficult I think. I quite liked Siegrist at Dundee Utd when he was there, but two successive managers at Celtic think Scott Bain is better than him now. And I think I’m better than Scott Bain. We’ll soon find out if we can replace Roos with similar or better as I think it’s pretty clear he’s heading elsewhere.

But no idea why they’re having a real go at Kelle Roos in the latest one. Calling him out for not saving penalties, and one the guys giving players marks out of 10 for the season so far scored him at 2.5. He’s certainly not our best ever keeper, but he’s ok generally and has saved us on a number of occasions this season. His penalty save record isn’t great, but neither it is for the vast majority of keepers, even the best. Although his distribution can be pretty woeful at times, he is certainly a good keeper for the Scottish Premiership standard. No idea who we’re going to replace him with at the end of the season. I generally like the podcast although it can certainly be hit or miss. Without being personal, one of them in particular is very snide and sarcastic when things aren’t going well, similar to how Richard Gordon has been on the radio recently. Also made a really shite comment about Cormack when he had his heart scare which stuck with me. Have to say I cringe whenever “Bobby’s soggy biscuit” is read out. Had to turn off the recent episode when they were all pished after five minutes too. Aside from that, I quite like it
Dons_1988
At the end of the day, these podcasts are generally a group of friends recording a pub conversation and sticking it out on the internet. Yes it’s a little more polished over time but that’s all it really is. The ABZ podcast probably gained more traction than others due to the interviews it had early doors, which have reduced quite a bit of late. That ‘status’ has probably gone to the heads a little and they tend to act like a bit of authority on things, particularly the lead boy. All to be taken with a large dollop of salt though, it’s a relatively easy listen when I’m out running. The here we go podcast is better for actual dons chat imo.

DukDukGoose
I see one of those bam agent pages on twitter is hinting we are signing Pollock today. Can't see it myself. Not sure how keen I am on it either as that would definitely mean we stay with a back 5.
Dons_1988
Think people need to move on. He was good but not amazing and people taken in a bit by the way he spoke about the club coming from Watford and the fact he was part of an impressive turnaround in fortunes. Really not a priority for this month though.

I'd be completely content to keep SG as right sided CB but if it's going to be a difficult to keep him beyond the loan spell, it would be quite nice to get a replacement now, rather than in July or August.

Rodhull
Not being glib but I’d entirely forgotten we still had him. Guessing he either hasn’t played well or just not very often for Stockport?

Don’t get me wrong, I’d take it if you told me he was signing longer term at a reasonable price. Most of the chat I’ve seen appears to be a loan until the end of the season which I just don’t think is a big priority for the 2nd half of the season.

Think he played at the end of the 21/22 season (glass/goodwin horror show) when we had nothing to play for, JET had been sent packing, Ramirez allowed home early and Watkins possibly injured. Don’t remember him really doing anything then we never saw him again.
