Would you class yourselves v Tranent as a derby? Both teams in Lothian ???

North Ayrshire & East Ayrshire are quite a way apart for Derby purposes

LADESIDE

Or if your a desperate Largs fan you would even cling onto pollok as a derby rival and label it as a west of Scotland derby

nope could not care less..friendly at this time of year is a shambles and makes mockery of the game..as for childish wee sacks comment.grow up

Surely a friendly is worthwhile if u haven't had a game in a couple of weeks, keeps the players sharp and match fit. Result isn't overly important however any win surely breeds confidence, especially for strikers. However take ur point to an extent.

worthwhile for players.when there told not to give 100% and told to stay out of challenges etc. It's a run about.friendly at this time of year it's bollocks in my opinion.as for fans ? No not even in slightest .

imho you should treat friendlies serious and get as much out of them as possible especially guys who havn't been playing regular...as for not giving 100 percent and not going in to challenges thats when you tend to get hurt most when your not fully committed...players should train/play friendlies the way they would treat a match with the exception of 'smashing' your own team mates in training...get in to good habits as bad habits stick like mud.
