Lichtie78
God forbid Eddie Ferns would do a U-Turn. That would be just horrible.

Leicesterlichtie
Good to see we have 2 keepers signed up, Gomes no. 1 but will have more pressure for his place than last season. Will pendle make a special short sleeve goalie top for Gibson? All players from last season who have agreed to stay on at Arbroath, I really do think when it was announced it meant that they have signed up. Will happily accept a backlash if I'm wrong.
lichtie23
As has been said it's great to see 2 goalies signed up so early. I only hope that Ricky is the nailed on number 1. I wouldn't have any faith in Gibson.
Smokerson
No club in this day and age officially announce a signing unless it's done and dusted. Think we need 2 or 3 in and we'll have done great business, leaves space for 1 or 2 loans.

Smokie_Bacon_crisps
So much drama over "agreed" and "signed" The simple explanation is called a "transfer window" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_window Scotland's official transfer window opens today - 9th June and will close on 1st September and then re-open for a month on 1st January.
Hammerafc
You can sign players that are out of contract or renew contracts outwith that window though.
afc_36_0
Apart from a dodgy last few games gomes was terrific and has to stay as no1
lichtiekev
Think it's pretty obvious Gomes will and should start as no1, he was the keeper for the champions while Gibson struggled with Clyde, however I like the idea of having a proper no2 signed instead of whoever is available on loan to keep ricki on his toes,

Now only DC will know if he would have put Gomes or Mutch in from the start but that forced his hand. Having a proper experienced back up if certainly preferable.

Agree with this, ultimately it didn't matter in the end but looks like lessons have been learned.

1320Lichtie
The close season is really slow and not much happens. So here, is a #GoalOfTheDay from Fans Favourite, #FastEddie Ferns. Here, Fast Eddie, against Falkirk, brilliantly controls the ball from deep inside his own half. Before turning Falkirk defenders inside out and smashing a shot into the roof of the net.
