Wonder if full back could be the long term option for Scott, not as if we lose out on many goals/assists by moving him back.
Ludo*1
Why is Oakley being recalled? He's looked a decent wee player but can't see him going back to Birmingham and being a starter right now.

His loan was only until January, think he's being loaned elsewhere in England.

He can play at a higher level than us.
keptie
I think the defence that has served us so well over the years is now beginning to creak. Midfield was almost non existent yesterday which didn't help things just hope the new players are gonna have a influence.

It’s beginning to creak because it’s no help from the midfield, a fact from yesterday Bitsindou dreadful in the first half at CB, Goldie playing CM, not great yesterday, but knows what he’s supposed to be doing, Goldie got booked, so as per is substituted at halftime, so on comes Ricky, who should have started, Bitsindou moves into CM, to replace Goldie, has no clue what’s he’s supposed to be doing, doesn’t go forward, doesn’t go back, not good enough We were so good last season because we were defensively sound, this was because we had a CM, whose main job was to protect the back four, we don’t have this

Tattie36
The defence and goalkeeper underperforming can’t just be blamed on the fact that we’ve lost Chris Hamilton and Nicky Low. We had large chunks of last season where Low was injured or we had Harrison Clarke or Luke Donnelly etc playing in midfield. The problems are far far deeper than just the players on the pitch.

Wee Hammy, once he started playing CM, he pretty much played every game there, his first instinct was to defend, we have no one in there now, who has that instinct, so the defence is exposed

keptie
What I noticed yesterday was Inverness looked way sharper than us physically and mentally we looked like we were needing a rest, we'd lost our edge.

We also are awful at clearing our lines, we get stuck in our defensive third, just no out ball, we either hoof it onto the roof of the stand or straight back to them

SotesBornalichtie
Well, back to earth with a pretty big bump after the high of last week. We pretty much matched Caley in the first half although losing a goal just on half time was a bit of a sickener. Second half we didn't turn up and as others have said Caley looked sharper and quicker than us all over the pitch. We couldn't find an out ball and again as has been said, resorted to the big boot to anywhere out of defence. Must've been a heck of a half time talk by the manager. With Oakley away I'd like to see us sign a proper right back rather than play about with either Gold or Stewart taking that role. We've never looked the same defensively since Jason Thomson left. We can only hope that the defence that has served us so well over the last few season can regain the form that they had, find a settled midfield and start to pick up more points. I think I've said it before but we cannot rely on teams above us dropping points and hoping that we find some form.
lichtiekev
Last season any of our back 4 could if been in team of the season for the year, Gonna be a tough vote for player of season going off what we seen so far
Hayshead2
Over the past few seasons it was often said that "you couldn't tell who was the part time team" This season it sticks out like a sore thumb. Have the fitness levels dropped or are the players now putting in less than 100% ???
