johnnydun
169 goals in 190 games for us. They certainly dont make them like that anymore. Legend gets used too often nowadays, but with Gilzean its the only word you could use.
Ludo*1
It highlights how big a legend Alan Gilzean was for us that when he was inducted into our HoF just a few year ago, Jocky Scott asked him for his autograph. One of our biggest ever legends and a name that is thought of when you think of Dundee FC.
Eednud
Was fortunate to see Alan Gilzean score loads of goals at Dens Park including 7 in a 10-2 win against Queen of the South. Just a pity there’s not more of them on-line. A legend right enough.
Ludo*1
Portimonese are apparently a bit of a feeder team for FC Porto. Never a confidence boost but sounds like a cracking experience for the lads particularly at late notice.

Spikethedee
Absolutely gutted to hear about Gillie. My biggest regret in football is that I'm too young to have seen our title winning team, especially Gillie, in the flesh. Thoughts and condolences to all his family and friends. Any chance of getting spurs to play a benefit match either pre season or during a free weekend??

Dark Blue Dick
Legend indeed, in the truest sense of the word. My favourite bedtime tale as a lad was to hear of Gillie's goals leading Dundee to the championship and into Europe......

Eednud
This is a fine example of a Gilzean Dundee goal. Don't blink.

kristov
Gillie's goals in the 5-1 win at Ibrox. Fog limited attendence to 38,000 when 80,000 were expected. Video is 9 mins long but Gillie's goals are circa 3:30; 5:15; 6:45; 8:20
