Dodgson doesn’t look too clever either. He simply didn’t read the game when he tried to play offside for the second goal. Finally, can someone please reassure me that Main is nowhere near match fit? Overall a very disjointed performance tonight. Every single point here is spot on. Carson Dodgson and Cameron should be dropped imo, as long as McCracken is fit.

Ludo*1
I'd drop Carson once McCracken is fit. Carson is a fantastic keeper but he's made far too many mistakes the past wee while. Needs to realise he's not just the undisputed number 1 anymore. Dodgson needs dodged. Unfortunately, he's simply not good enough for this level of football. Good with the ball at his feet when he has a lot of time, but incapable of pretty much anything else. Maybe there's a player in there, but he's nowhere near the required standard. I'm hoping Curtis Main is just completely gubbed due to his spell in India and will come good after a thorough pre-season. So far he's not the player I thought he was. Robinson did more hold up play in the first 5 minutes he came on than Main or Mellon managed the whole game. Finally, Docherty - we have 2 wins in 12 (including the game against Killie) - we've went from having an absolutely fantastic season to falling behind St Johnstone who have had an atrocious season and look like a terrible outfit if they beat us on Sunday. Still delighted with the season and progress we've made, but 2024 has been a real dip in our season and hopefully we start putting it together again starting then. And that's my negativity out.

From what I can gather he’s not fast, he’s not tall and he’s not really a prolific goalscorer either. I can only hope he will get better as he gets fitter. Also, genuine question that is perhaps unfair seeing as he is hopefully still settling in. Does anyone genuinely think Dodgeson has improved the team over and above Kerr?

Nope he hasn’t , we keep trying to replace Kerr , and in my opinion we haven’t yet , we’ve had a few loanees in that position but none of them have worked out , I still think had kerr been playing against Kilmarnock we wouldn’t have lost those first two goals in the first 3 minutes ,and he wouldn’t have just stood and watched for their 2nd goal last night , McGhee and roger the dodger are no better than him , don’t get me wrong Cammy is not the answer but it’s criminal we haven’t managed to get better than Cammy in 10 years of trying

Pens_Dark
Still taking the positives from where we are. 6th with a game in hand and two good home fixtures where we should be looking to pick up maximum points. Biggest thing for me is that Docherty needs to sort out the balance of his defence as soon as possible. Onwards and upwards.

IMO. hate to agree with this but its true. A major disappointment . Looked excellent for Thistle but he's struggling. Always seems to falter at the last moment - , cross hits the first defender , shot blocked, pass intercepted etc etc. Not too fussed about last nights result as usually we are cut adrift at the bottom by this stage. Overall we are having an excellent season but need Lamie and Portales back asap to steady the ship.

Here Ludo Ignore the Perth fuds. We’ve had two home games since December, against Celtic and Hearts. We’ve had a tough run of games since coming back from the split, but even before that 4 away games in December and last night being our 5th away game from 20th January. I’m very happy to be sitting where we are in our first season back up
