Yes campaign perceived to not give a straight answer over issues - Seethe & Rage

No campaign still not giving straight answers to "the vow" or "extra powers" a week after the result - perfectly fine

Ladies & Gents, the hypocritical contradiction that is your No voter.

Sounds a bit like 10 days ago on here -

Who said that? I think everybody's view throughout was not to take the polls too seriously as it's a one off and we will only know on the 19th. When YES went infront on a poll of 1000 folk I never got excited.

He didn't even remotely disappear. Unlike no-marks like Tubbs and Reynard who disappeared over the horizon when the polls tightened.

Good to know you are still pining for me.

Circa 33% of the electorate voted for indy. Two thirds of the country didn't support it, that is the true voice of the people; fortunately shouty, screamy, needy, 'my opinion is the only one' kind of people only get one vote just like the rest of us.

Lol 33% eh? By that same logic, less than half the electorate wanted to remain in the UK! Which must mean more than half want independence!

:1eye

You're not only a shitey pants, you're a simpleton to boot!

Aye I pointed that out to him. He chose to ignore it.

Less than half of the adult population of Scotland voted to remain in the UK.

I see Rob's struggling with victory as well.

Must be shite being a No voter.

and 1 in 4 in Glasgow didn't give a f*ck either way!!

Yes, what's your point caller?

Tubbs was twisting statistics to make independence seem less of an issue. I showed him that stats can be twisted in more than one way. If you think me and confi are genuinely trying to claim that the no vote was somehow illegitimate because it never gained 50% of the adult population then you're spectacularly missing the point.

That they are presumably fine with things just as they are, and not the 'change agents' you lads wish they were. It’s not in our psyche as a rule though, no matter what people may say they aspire to, people don’t generally like change. Whether it’s in their work, private or social life, we are risk averse as a nation and quietly cherish stability. The majority out there opted for that imho, and dont have such a sh*te time of it, as is often the picture painted on here. They clearly disagreed.

Of course people don't lime change. Does that mean stuff should never change?

Plenty of times in history change has happened when a lot of people didn't want it to. In many cases the change turns out to be right.

In this case we'll need to wait a while longer for that change to happen. But I'm very confident it will come.

I think you know that you wont get a better chance though?

It was all set up beautifully for a Yes Vote.

  • The timing of the referendum,
  • The wording of the question,
  • No vote given to Scottish Ex-pats
  • The inclusion of the 16/17 year old vote,
  • A straight Yes or No
  • A majority of those who voted (not a majority of the population)

Salmond pretty much got everything on his wish list!

Throw in the 700th anniversary of Bannockburn ;)

The 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup to showcase Scotland.....

Then the desperate last dash up the road by the three stooges

The wailings of failed politicians such as Brown, Prescott and Darling..

A hopeless campaign by the Scottish Labour party, Lamont, Curran & Co

And you still didn’t win?

Yep, thanks to the utter perversion of democracy laid on by big business, Westminster and the media. Tbf, we never stood a chance once the machine cranked up.
