Le Tout P'ti FC
I was wrong about Eindhoven. For the plane has just entered Germany! Think it’s turning towards Dusselfdorf but I think the pilot is lost. EDIT - it just landed in Cologne. A 5:40 Ryanair epic. The Master
An easyJet flight from Edinburgh to Bristol diverted to Paris. That must have been some laugh, seeing as how you don’t need a passport to fly domestically. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/u2319#33b39633

CityDave94
Not good news for trees with the saturated ground from the sudden thaw now this. Worst still to come forecast 80mph to 100mph winds in the red warning areas between 2am and 4am. Highest gust so far Aonach Mor 112mph, probably more than that now. Central Scotland getting gusts of around 80mph. Tornado watch in the west as well. I would not be surprised if there are a lot of people without power by daylight tomorrow morning. The noise of that wind. This is going to be a bit more than just wheelie bins and a few fences down. Stay safe.

Ginaro
The #1 tracked flight from Stansted had two goes at Edinburgh and is now heading across the Irish Sea, two more Ryanair flights about to try... Edited January 22 by Ginaro
CityDave94
I'd imagine most of the trains will be cancelled in the morning. Be a lot of tired people. btw maximum gusts include 81 mph Prestwick and Bishopton 75mph recorded 50 minutes ago.

Inanimate Carbon Rod
Work colleagues daughter was on a flight which landed in Edinburgh and they were kept on the plane for 3.5hrs because it wasnt safe to open the doors or something. Suppose it beats going to Cologne.

Lets see...sit on a plane that's designed to takeoff in high winds or get off and be blown into the Gyle Shopping Centre...hell of a decision there, eh?
