Jacksgranda Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 I was in Invergowrie last week. Could have been me. Only if you take your blue bin with you everywhere... 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
invergowrie arab Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Only if you take your blue bin with you everywhere... How do you think he got down from Dundee? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jamaldo Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Someone at my work showed me a picture he'd taken of a caravan which had ended up on it's side in the middle of the night. The gales up here reached 113mph apparently. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Zen Archer (Raconteur) Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 It was so windy, this morning I saw a hen lay the same egg twice. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Johnny van Axeldongen Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 My Sky dish bit the dust overnight and is now dangling from my roof by it's cable. That happened to us once and they said it'd take 2 weeks to come out and fix it. We're now on cable. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Trains have been cancelled all day, took me 3 hours to get into work. Getting home again should be an interesting challenge 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
madwullie Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Blue bin day for us was yesterday. There but for the grace of God. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fotbawmad Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 That was terrifying hearing that wind and rain outside last night. That must of been hurricane force winds. I bet it was a lot worse for the folks living on the west coast. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hedgecutter Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Blue bin day for us was yesterday. There but for the grace of God. We've got a black box. Wasn't going anywhere weighed down with my collection of glass bottles! Woke up to find the brown bin blown over in the back garden though. To think I'd been standing in that very spot last summer. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
forfarton Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Pray for me (or light a candle) I can hear the wind rattling the lid of my blue recycling bin up and down. Green and grey bins secure so far, further updates to follow. My purple bin's lid has come off 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Septentrional Wasp Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 It's probably just as bad in elgin as it was early hours yesterday. I got in from work at six, out with dog until half past and got droont and have been trying to sleep since. Wind's howling. Can hear wheelie bins getting tossed about and my dug is now under the bed. Can see GTA5 getting turned on shortly. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dee Man Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Is that hurricane or gale? There is a storm of a difference! I wondered that myself when I wrote it. Hurricane. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
stonedsailor Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 I wondered that myself when I wrote it. Hurricane. I know, I should, been out for 28 days. Steaming into it, back to Aberdeen, tonight or tomorrow. Dodging off the rig is not so bad at the moment, though bad enough, steaming into it is going to be an utter c**t. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
