What are all of the puddle drinking references about?

IIRC he went along to one of the Subcrawls and drank from a puddle in an effort to impress folk.

I think it's a deliberate misconception on their part. Desperate to paint independence and devolution supporters as frequent losers.

As has been said, that devolution referendum returned a majority vote for a devolved parliament for Scotland. It was a win for anyone who supports home rule for Scotland.

So yeah, just a bucket of fail all round for NBB here.

In 79, only the SNP campaigned for a Yes. They failed.

In 97, Labour, the LibDems and the SNP campaigned for a Yes. It could be said that Labour won it (It's Donald Dewar's statue in Buchanan St, not Salmond)

In 2015, only the SNP campaigned for a Yes. They failed.

History shows that if supporters want independence, they need to get Labour on board.

However, I'm not taking this at all seriously so pick away at it all you want.

So they failed in 79, said they'd win the next time, and they did?

Yeah thought so
