Good job my enjoyment of this tournament isn't hinging on me predicting results correctly because I'm shite at this!

Since I'll forget over New Year:

Van Gerwen 4-2 Thornton

Wright 3-4 Anderson

Taylor 4-0 Van der Voort

Bunting 4-1 Van Barneveld

You might want to make a few amendments.

It's best of nine sets in the quarters!

What a way to finish 2014. Tuesday at the Alexandra Palace provided us with one of the truly great nights of darts, following a comparatively mediocre afternoon session. But there was nothing ordinary about Callum-Ayr, who performed strongly to reclaim the lead ahead of the Quarter-Finals. 10 points clear of F_T_Y (who places well despite losing Dave Chisnall's 180s), Callum is in a good position to win the World Championship.

But there is still work to be done. The points are enhanced for the final three rounds, which leaves it all open. Stuarty, The Naitch and RobRoyGuy are the most likely to capitalise on any potential slip-ups, while Jupiter Jazz, Rydo1982 and Tigerton could still threaten if something dramatic happens.

Quarter Finals - 9 Points for Correct Result, 11 Points for Correct Score.

Semi Finals - 11 Points for Correct Result, 13 Points for Correct Score.
Final - 13 Points for Correct Result, 15 Points for Correct Score.

Much to play for. But for now, I hope you have a fine conclusion to this year, and I look forward to seeing you back on here on Thursday as we enter 2015. (Aren't we supposed to have hoverboards by now?)

Happy New Year!
