AMMjag
It always gets said on these types of threads, but supermarket pizzas are usually both tastier and outstandingly cheaper than the shite you'd buy at Dominos or Pizza Hut. Cereal, crisps, sweets, beens, noodles and frozen veg are also all things best bought as own brand. On the flip side, own brand tuna is utterly revolting. Albino Rover
Tesco do this now, it's the bollocks. Having taken note of this, I looked out for it on my visit to Tesco earlier on. It's just as expensive as the Kellogg's stuff!
Hillonearth
Polish supermarkets quite often have a superb take on Jaffa Cakes, with a smashing black cherry-ey bit substituted for the the smashing orangey bit

Carl Cort's Hamstring
Supermarket version of cereal always seems to be better than the brand versions. I generally find the opposite. The exception is Special K since Kellog's changed the recipe. The Sainsbury's own brand stuff is much better.

Derek Patterson
Aldi's have a few "copycat" things that are superb Can't remember the name of them but Aldi's take on Toffee Pops are glorious.
Todd_is_God
Many supermarket foodstuffs are the exact same product. Tesco mineral water, for example, is Highland Spring with a different label. Highland Spring actually generate more revenue through "own branded" water than Highland Spring.

Pointless. People paying more for the branded water are eeediots. Can make an exception for paying more if the actual plastic bottle is a better shape though.? BigMartyn86
Tesco Value Midget Gems are awesome. You get a two pack of cheese burgers or chicken burgers from Lidl for £1.50 and they piss all over anything made by rustler. Although these pot noodle things from tesco for 75p are a taste sensation.
