Awaiting a decision according to Cathy at the trust AGM last night.... I think they shat it, thought we would just roll over and accept any punishment, when we turned up with the club lawyers, a QC, and a shed load of evidence for the hearing. As a footnote, think how much cash in legal fees alone this pantomime has cost Killie at a time when every penny is a prisoner..... killiepiemuncher
That’s fucking shite. They’ve set a precedent that’ll come back and bite them in the arse.
superkillieaway
There is a clear distinction between the cases with the OF and the dons and ours. (Although im not fucking having that Celtic didnt know Bolingoli was in fucking spain). However, im still not happy with the punishment. Seems to be the most severe one they have went for which all clubs advised against. Seems both clubs have been truthful and held there hands up and been given absolutely no remorse. Be interesting to see how other clubs were transporting players etc during the same period as im sure there wouldve been other breaches. Dangerous precedent has been set with 2/3 of a league season still to go. Fucking mental to be punishing clubs so much during an invisible fucking virus. Our 3 biggest defeats of the season - Falkirk 3-0 (forfeit) Dunfermline 3-0 (mostly youth team), Motherwell 3-0 (forfeit). Also annoying puts us on a minus GD Edited December 3, 2020 by superkillieaway
Busta Nut
When the clubs are admitting the disregard they had for their players and staff's health it would have been hard to do anything else.

I am led to believe that we were following Scottish government rules on distancing, but that the SPFL wanted stricter rules.
C4mmy31
Its has the potential for a 3 way punishment as it'll probably cost the club thousands in place money come the end of the season.....
bennett
Not very happy. KILMARNOCK STATEMENT “Kilmarnock Football Club is bitterly disappointed with the outcome of the SPFL disciplinary hearing into the circumstances surrounding the postponement of our match with Motherwell. Following the hearing, Motherwell have been awarded a 3-0 victory while we have been hit with a £40,000 fine, suspended until June 2021. The club is currently discussing our position with our legal representatives on how to blame Sevco and will make further comment in due course.
weirdcal
So if its a failure at club level to adhere its forfeiture, at player level its match bans.Interesting

Andy_K_97
That's a sore one to take. If we can afford to appeal it and we think it's got a good chance of overturning the decision (I don't because I'm pessimistic about all our dealings with disciplinary panels etc) then fair enough, but as others have said the precedent that this sets is a very dangerous one. Whatever happens we'll just have to take it but it could have the effect of putting us on a downward spiral in the table without actually playing a game. Never mind, if we get a win on Saturday then it'll make up some of the difference in points.
