~~~ Posted November 5, 2015 Share Posted November 5, 2015 What is the average time for a manger in the Championship, about a year? hardly a shock they or anyone else getting sack in that league, they even get shot of guys who win promotion 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fraser Fyvie Posted November 5, 2015 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Ramsey was lucky to get the job anyway after getting them relegated. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pandarilla Posted November 5, 2015 Share Posted November 5, 2015 I'm sick to death of the professional attention seekers coming out with their unsubstantiated shit stirring. Townsend should be made to back up what he's insinuating or withdraw the thinly disguised accusations of racism against Huddersfield and QPR. After all the guy's obviously got facts to enable him to make such derogatory statements... Aye it's pretty poor. There might be an issue about getting bme managers and coaches into jobs or through the relevant qualifications (there clearly should be more) but one they're there it's all about performance. If results aren't good enough then get tae. Playing the race card at this stage is horribly desperate. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BFTD Posted November 21, 2015 Share Posted November 21, 2015 Return to an old career for the Barnster? Does a pretty decent job here IMO. http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/20/liverpool-legend-john-barnes-shows-off-rap-skills-with-rendition-of-sugarhill-gangs-rappers-delight-at-football-blogging-awards-5515235/ 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sparky88 Posted November 21, 2015 Share Posted November 21, 2015 The more coverage is given to millionaires greeting about doscrimination, the less is given to discrimination, sexual racial etc. That actually matters a f**k. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Honest_Man#1 Posted November 22, 2015 Share Posted November 22, 2015 Ramsey was lucky to get the job anyway after getting them relegated. Firstly he got them relegated, then with one of the best squads in the league has them sitting bottom half. He clearly deserves to be sacked. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NorthernLights Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Those horrible racists at QPR are interviewing Hasselbaink about the managers job. Probably just wanting to hire him so they can fire him because of his race. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34983225 -1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
port-ton Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Pretty ridiculous to be honest. Latapy has a reputation for partying through his whole career so chairmen probably are a bit wary of that. There's probably also tens of white guys who didn't get replies or interviews for jobs Harper has applied for based on lack of experience or public image. Black people crying Wolf on things like this do more harm for racial equality than good. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BFTD Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Two new contestants this week: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35922260 You have to wonder how these articles come about. Presumably Latapy didn't get pished and phone the Beeb up in a stupor to complain about his difficulties in finding work. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Presumably Latapy didn't get pished and phone the Beeb up in a stupor to complain about his difficulties in finding work. A story by a black, ex-Rangers player that wants to play the race card is the stuff of wet dreams to the BBC. Their only disappointment would be he was straight. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mybitchunderprotest Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) No mention by Kevin Harper that he was coaching at Airdrie this season and left of his own accord citing difficulties reconciling "the demands of the post on top of a full-time job". cowdenbeath Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 BBC are wrong to say that Barnes is the only black guy to manage a Scottish Club Dave Smith had a spell at Montrose in the mid 90s after a spell with Whitehill Welfare. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
That sort of guff is so wrong that I just don't know where to start. I'm confident white managers get exactly the same woeful non-responses from our clubs. All his bleating is counter-productive. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Compliment Sandwich Posted March 31, 2016 Share Posted March 31, 2016 If Kevin Harper's only previous experience is coaching a League 1 side, I wonder which 10 management jobs he applied for that he thinks he was realistically the best candidate for. To be fair, it's just bad manners not replying to an application, but I can't imagine that was because he's black. If I was a Chairman, this nonsense would put me off taking either of them on in the future. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
