Speaking of Scottish Labour, I almost forgot this little doozy over the weekend:

Looking forward to all of the SNPers coming back to Labour now that it has come back to them. What? No? Your really just still Nationalists?

Just keep insulting the electorate they'll come back eventually.

Won't they?

The opposition to Corbyn was too split. Burnham and Cooper should have done a deal (like Blair and Brown) and run on a joint ticket.

Even if they agreed that only Burnham should run they still would have lost as the result of Corbyn winning 60% of the vote.

Interesting to see the SNP focus on the gender equality of his cabinet. I would argue that's because they don't want to outright engage him on any other progressive policies or beliefs he holds for fear of being seen as too centrist.

The comments in the Guardian are a joy to behold.

I've really enjoyed the Guardian, the New Statesman and other 'left-leaning' newspapers showing themselves up as complete frauds. The Independent having already managed that in May after endorsing another ConDem coalition.

Wanted to go back in history and assasinate Maggie Thatcher and might be another 'up the Ra' type.

Or, alternatively, ran the GLC budget - and balanced it - while still in his twenties. Friend of the TU movement as well. All round good egg, basically.

Anyone who doesn't think the world is a better place without that witch hasn't got a soul.

His cabinet is the one with the most women in it ever - a lot of whom are in top jobs (albeit perhaps not the 'main' ones like Home Sec, Foreign Sec and Chancellor). I'm pretty happy with his shadow cabinet though Lord Falconer? Come on to f**k. Not best pleased about Burnham or Hilary Benn either but I guess it was inevitable that there would be members of the cabinet who were more to the centre or right of the party. I don't necessarily think they should have got the positions they did though.

TBF so do I. He's another socialist - in the same mould as Corbyn and probably his most trusted friend and ally. Good appointment.
