We had McGowan in goal and Darren Barr alongside Tam O'Ware in central defence plus Doyle at RB and Lewis Strapp at LB. midfield had Tidser and Murdoch in the middle and McHugh and Forbes either side. Oliver and Thomson were upfront but Thomson and McHugh interchanged a lot. Goals in order were McHugh finishing a great passing move, Forbes 25 yard free kick to postage stamp, Tidser penalty after Oliver brought down, Oliver after another great team goal and young Ben Armour came on for the last ten minutes and scored a nice goal. it was only a bounce game and you can't read too much into it but it was really encouraging. Thomson hardly missed a header from long punts and once the guys around him learn how to latch onto that, it could be fruitful. McHugh looked sharp and took his goal well. Harkins played most of the second half as a holding mid and did well. Second half we took O'Ware, Forbes, Tidser, Murdoch, Strapp McHugh and Thomson off and apart from Harkins and Russell, all were replaced by development squad boys all of whom did well. PS.
