Yet another US shooting

Bodycam footage of the police officer who killed a mass shooter in Allen, Texas a few months back.

Overall, rated a textbook response by the Officer. There is the argument he should have driven, but the echoing gunfire made it very difficult to determine where the shooter was, so he ran toward where he first heard shots and followed the “trail”. Not sure how you mentally deal with having to run past shot adults and (especially) kids in order to try to save more people…

The seat belt mention got me thinking. Recently a city in Colorado had some drive where cops were ticketing anyone not wearing a seat belt. This was on the news and a high ranking officer was boasting how many lives they were saving by doing this.

Yet no one tries to prevent mass shootings.

"Two people were killed and 28 wounded in a mass shooting in Baltimore on Sunday morning, including three who are in critical condition, police said.

The Baltimore Police Department acting commissioner, Richard Worley, confirmed there were a total of 30 victims during a press conference at the scene. Police said they were still looking for the shooter."

I see that this latest tragedy happened at something called a block party. The usual response from the pro-gun lobby to shootings is that there would have been less of a problem if "responsible" gun holders were there.

Just what was needed ... more tooled-up jhuan-kerrs getting pissed and shouting "did you call my lass a pint" and "ma da' would shag your da' " before settling things like gentlemen with a reenactment of a cross between the Alamo and the Gunfight at the OK Corral.

Eejits.

Clearly the lesson here is that there still weren't enough guns, or the ones which were there needed to be bigger.

1 polis shot dead, 2 other officers injured and a random woman. Turns out Fargo is accurately represented in the TV series.

At least in Fargo the chippee is clearly Steve Buscemi and the chipper is Peter Stormare.

So, what you're saying is...

The sister needed an AK?

No, no, no need to go as far as that. Just instal computer/radar/motion sensor controlled automatic machine guns in the younger sibling's bedroom to provide protection.  Anything else is just an abdication of responsibility on the parents' part.

Of course if the incident took place elsewhere just assign an AI/Terminator type guardian to guard everyone.

Still doesn't seem quite enough. Need a few metal detectors, and of course a prayer room, just to make sure.

The prayer room is a must, obviously.  Maybe a shrine to various gods too, just on the off chance that one of the other circa 18,000 gods is the "real" one. As well to cover the bases IMO.
