David W
Correct decision. No intent to play the ball whatsoever. If you're just making up laws then you are right. However, you are of course wrong. It was reckless and didn't use excessive force,it didn't deny an obvious goalscoring opportunity, therefore it's a yellow card.

From behind, no chance of playing the ball, no intent to even play the ball, cynical. Potential to injure going at that speed. I wish referees would issue a red for it more often.

Desert Nomad
Cracking hattrick for Andre Schurrle against Hannover who look all at sea. Currently 3-0 with half an hour to go.
German Jag
Full round of games this mid-week, which the Germans refer to as an "englische Woche". As already mentioned, H96 were not at the races. Nothing spectacular from either side until the 1st goal, then was all one way traffic after the restart. Interesting to see what sanctions Wolfsburg get hit with, after 4 or so flares were despatched, one of which hit the roof of the H96 dugout. http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/soccer-fans-hurl-flare-into-home-dugout-ahead-of-bundesliga-match-030116 Next up a trip to Bremen for a veritable 6 pointer.
German Jag
Starting to get a bit silly with, as yet, still no dates & times fixed for the games in Round 26 (11th/13th March) through to Round 32. Hopefully all gets resolved on Friday once the DFL know the Europa League results from the Thursday evening. Dates & times for Games 26 through to 29 (12th March to 9th April) announced yesterday.

meddabhoy
Was at the bay arena tonight, great counter attacking play by Bremen, can't see them staying down the relegation area for much longer. Brilliant atmosphere in the ground which was only around 60-70% full......great few days over here but fucking Baltic
AMC13
Would like to see Dortmund beat Bayern on Saturday to close the gap to 2 points and make things interesting.
Ross.
Hoping that SC Freiburg get promoted this year as it's only 3 quarters of an hour or so from Basel and would make it easy to take in a Bundesliga game next season. Sitting second with 10 games left.

Sitting second with 10 games left.Talking of Bundesliga 2. When I was in Berlin a couple of weeks back, Leipzig were at home to Union Berlin in the Friday night. The Union fans made a protest by entering the stadium 20 minutes late. Apparently not the first time they've done it against Leipzig. It's to do with the fact that Leipzig are financed by Red Bull and in the eyes of many not a proper football club. Hertha fans I spoke to were in general agreement with the reasons for the Union fans actions. Be interesting to see if fans of other clubs react similar when Leipzig are playing the big boys next season. Doubt it.
mid-table
I was at the Bayern v Mainz game last night and still can't understand how Bayern lost that game. The passing stats were incredible; Bayern 797/904 88.2% Mainz 138/253 54.5% Completed passes in the attacking third; Bayern 223 Mainz 18 As we have seen from Leicester this season possession isn't everything, but Mainz were just completely and utterly dominated from start to finish.

Not sure what the difference in available finances is between Leipzig and the rest of league two, but I imagine Leipzig will be miles off a lot of the top league when they take their place there next season. Coming from nowhere and outspending the smaller teams will always upset a few. When they disappear in mid/bottom end of the table obscurity they will be forgotten.

German Jag
Wolfsburg fans getting stick from Klaus Allofs for chucking fireworks at the Hannover game? Anything to report German Jag? Ca. 5 minutes before kick-off, a large amount of smoke bombs were let off in the away block. Then 3 flares were fired onto the pitch, one of which came down on the H96 subs-bench. After that ca. another 9 Wolfsburg fans did a wee waving flares routine at the front of the away section. Wolfsburg looking at something like a €40.000 fine, plus Hannover will get fined due to the searches on stadium entry being ineffective. eta a video from the Wolfsburg section. jmothecat
Dortmund v bayern so far a shite game I don't watch much German football but I've been quite enjoying it. Tense, both sides looking good, quick counter attacking football. Only thing it's lacking is goals.
maplewell
Some comeback by Leverkusen against Ausburg today. 3-0 down and took it back to 3-3 with a penalty in the 94th min. They've been very poor in the last few weeks because of injuries to half their team but a good sign that they still have a bit of fight left.
German Jag
Just back from what was an enjoyable trip to Bremen, which had an absolute sh!te performance by H96 in the middle. The 4-1 defeat virtually confirms that Hannover will be plying their trade in the BL2 next season. Inabilty to complete passes, plus god awful defending. Karaman's goal, right on the stroke of half-time, to make it 2-1 gave a false sense of hope going into the 2nd half which was promptly snuffed out. Next up, home to Cologne.
