David W
In one piece of news, Salomon Kalou has been suspended for being an idiot. Filmed himself and various team mates breaking distancing rules. In another piece of news, ex-Schalke youth player, Hiannick Kamba, who four years ago was pronounced dead in a car accident in Congo, has been found alive and well working for an energy firm in Gelsenkirchen.

Filmed himself and various team mates breaking distancing rules. It’s really pissed me off that the only takeaway from this seems to be that Kalou’s an idiot. Yes he’s an idiot but his video shows several players and staff at the club not giving a shiny shite about social distancing by all shaking hands, and even a doctor carrying out a test on someone whilst wearing next to no PPE. Hertha will probably get away with this by deflecting everything onto Kalou, but the focus should be entirely on the club for not enforcing any of the rules anywhere near strongly enough. Who knows how many other clubs are doing the same as well.
German Jag
OGreen light given today by the politicians to allow the top two divisions to recommence the season behind closed doors. As to when, has still to be decided by the DFL. Likeliest date would be the weekend after next, but a couple of clubs have complained that that would be insufficient time to get players back to a good enough level of match fitness. An upside of restarting 2 weekends after next, would be that much more information about the consequences of coming out of lockdown would be available. Next discussion point is the politicians looking for Sky to make their „Konferenz“ coverage (jump around the grounds like Open all Mics, but with pictures) available on free-to-air TV. Announced now, that the weekend after next will be the restart date. Friday with presumably Düsseldorf against Paderborn. Two most interesting games on the Saturday will be Schalke- Dortmund and Union - Munich. Edited May 6, 2020 by German Jag

Torpar
Usually here in Canada Bundesliga games are shown on Sportsnet World, a premium channel which I don't have. Though I could watch the occasional game when the NBC Buffalo channel would show them, now it seems Sportsnet have decided to be good c***s and show the games on their regular channels that I do have. After making do with the Nicaragua league for the past month or so, I can not wait!
Craig fae the Vale
Missing football so much I'm seriously considering forking out for a BT Sport subscription for the Bundesliga starting up again. Think I've watched about 3 games in the league in my life, but the excitement is pulling me in.

Waspy
I reckon most of these ties will have a pre season feel about them. I look forward to seeing Bruno Labbadia’s first Hertha team.

effeffsee_the2nd
interesting to see how this pans out, will the world have such a thirst for quality football that the tv companys go into overdrive? or will it turn out that watching great teams play in empty stadiums is actualy a bit shit with a spfl feel about it ( you know , hearing the players shouting at each other) that other leagues restart plans end up getting canned?
D.A.F.C
Was listening to a radio feature on this today and they said during full practice games players were done at 60 mins so pace will have to be slowed or it will happen in the second half anyway.
