Even the slanted Times story says "some" (not all) of the money has been used elsewhere. IIRC about £50k. The money exists and the full amount will be spent on a future independence campaign. Earmarked means the same as ringfenced. If it helps.

Omg man give it up. This is embarrassing.

What I took out of the statement was that the cash is not ringfenced but has been used for other running expenses.
However, they say that they will have another fundraiser to replenish the ‘ringfenced fund’.
From the 2019 Accounts it is abundantly clear that the cash is just NOT there.
It will soon be time to present the 2020 Accounts which will be interesting to view.
This may  or may not be legal but it is certainly very shabby treatment of the donors who thought they were contributing to an independence fighting fund.
There's nothing illegal been done but it's absolutely stupid that they dragged things out as long as they did.

If money was solicited for a specific purpose then used for something else then it is dishonest at best.

No woosh, you haven't quoted from anything.

Yes I did and you quoted me quoting it.

I think the question here is actually have you read it?

To give you a clue it was the one where you stupidly claimed that earmarked and ring fenced where synonymous.

Yes, "For the purpose of promoting a referendum on independence and campaigns intended to secure independence"

Got any literature around the fundraisers to support this or do we just accept that funds ring fenced for a referendum campaign are now earmarked to secure independence?

Oh and have already been spent on matters not relating to either of the aforementioned wording.

Who's making the accusations here?

The SNP treasurer has just released a statement to clear up the issue, admitted that the funds raised had been spent and that the remainder would be replenished from cash flow.  No accusations are required.

You will also notice that although you have once again tried to be a smart arse, you have quoted me quoting from the statement.

I even used inverted commas to show that it was a direct quote.
