JamieStevenson
Well, it's time to get some buzz going for the biggest event of the summer. WWE recently announced that this will now be a 4 hour show, which I assume means it will start an hour earlier than usual. WWE trying to get this show to reach the heights of Wrestlemania by the looks of it, which is fine by me. 4 hours of wrestling for £9.99, don't mind if I do. In fact, NXT Takeover: Brooklyn is the night before that too, so definitely worth getting WWE Network this month! I was tempted to make a hybrid thread for both threads but thought best not to. It's been announced that Jon Stewart will be the host of this year's Summerslam. Here are the announced matches so far: Stephen Amell & Neville vs Stardust & King Barrett Team Bella vs Team B.A.D. vs PCB (Elimination match) The Prime Time Players © vs Los Matadores vs The Lucha Dragons vs The New Day for the WWE Tag Team Championships Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev Ryback © vs Big Show vs The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship Randy Orton vs Sheamus Cesaro vs Kevin Owens Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns US Champion John Cena vs WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Winner Takes All Match! Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker As usual, join in with the discussion! What would you like to see take place at Summerslam? Are you happy with the event now being 4 hours long? It promises to be a cracking weekend of wrestling, I'm really looking forward to it.
Ira Gaines
Actually looks like it could be a fun four hours. Would be amazed if they had Owens wrestle a big match the night after a ladder match so I'd imagine he will either not be wrestling, or it'll be a majorly disappointing match. Klanky
Lesnar to win - Undertaker to retire, or at least have a retirement match at Wrestlemania.
Christophe
Fucking LOL at Takers hair in that promo shot! Wtf is that all about?
JamieStevenson
Kane to help Undertaker win, although I'm not sure what the point in that would be!
DA Baracus
Kane to help Undertaker win, although I'm not sure what the point in that would be! There would be zero point in that. And fortunately it won't happen. Taker won't be retiring here. He'll have a retirement match at Mania.
Guest bernardblack
Kane will get involved. Ziggler Rusev has some serious potential
DA Baracus
Kane won't be getting involved.
Chicken Wing
Kane won't be getting involved. Put this prediction beside your "MOTB won't be cashed in at mania".
Ludo*1
Kane will be involved in Summerslam one way or the other I reckon, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have anything to do with Taker/Lesnar though. That said, I'm not sure there is anything else relevant for him to do.
DA Baracus
There hasn't been for a while. He should be used to put over new talent and/or tag with them.
DA Baracus
Put this prediction beside your "MOTB won't be cashed in at mania". You've been using banks wrong mate. You put the money IN them, not on them
RJM77
I reckon Kane interferes and sets up Taker/Kane at WM to send him off.
DA Baracus
There is absolutely no chance that Taker would have his retirement match at Mania against Kane
Ludo*1
Taker at one point wanted Kane to be the man to defeat him so wouldn't rule it out. Whilst it wouldn't be an all time classic by any stretch, it's an easy go to story, he has more history with Kane more than anyone else on the roster and Kane's still in decent enough shape that he can carry off an acceptable match which Sting (The only other candidate) likely can't do. As it unlikely as it is, I wouldn't rule it out particularly if Kane is thinking of becoming more of a part-time/behind the scenes member of staff, could be a good way for him to bow out as well. Still though, can't see it.
Ira Gaines
I wouldn't rule out Kane as a last match either. There's easy logic to it actually. It's one of a very small number of people that wouldn't surprise me.
Quentin Taranbino
I was assuming if Kane came back at summerslam it would be to attack Rollins? Him interfering in match would keep titles on both rollins and cena as well. I can't see either with both titles
Bert Raccoon
No chance of Sting interfering in the Undertaker match?
JamieStevenson
Had thought earlier that Cena would win clean to take both titles. Then the next night on Raw he'd vacate the US title cause he's such a great guy, leading to a tournament to decide a new champion. Rollins title run has been honking, would be no surprise if they shat all over him again with the booking.
JamieStevenson
Original post edited to add the 3 new matches that emerged from last night's Raw. Looking at the card just now it doesn't feel like a blockbuster show, but with the possible matches I've got listed there are still a couple of big ones we could see.
