StewartyMac
True, and Federer does have to retire sometime. The trouble is other young things may come on the scene. Monty in the making. The thing is, the amount of haddies who win majors in golf nowadays lessens the gravitas of them compared to the tennis majors, where with very few exceptions, it's always the top three or four players who win them. I mean, you'd hardly call Todd Hamilton, Ben Curtis, Paul Lawrie, Lucas Glover, Michael Campbell, Shaun Micheel, and Yang Yong-Eun giants of the game of golf, yet all have won a major over the last 10 years or so.
StewartyMac
Well, I think we can consign this one to the history books. Federer is a fucking machine.
Quentin Taranbino
Aye Murray is getting raped in this set
theentomologist
its all a bit too tippy tappy diagonal then bang fed down the line at the moment. need to do something out the box -win the point or not, just to get the well coiffed one thinking.
Scary Bear
Ah well, at least he made the final. I was up anyway, I'd be pissed if i'd got up especially to see this. Edited January 31, 2010 by Scary Bear
Waspie
Good effort to dig that one out. Why dont the BBC f*ck off with their announcement every few games about the politics show, anybody who is tuning in now expecting to see Andrew Marr rather than Andy Murray is a halfwit anyway.

To stop middle Englanders complaining that there's something other than THEIR usual Sunday morning programming on.
chico
Rory the racing car on fiver was quite entertaining. Martha forgot to charge her walkie talkie. Weetabix heid winning or getting totally horsed by fuderer?
StewartyMac
As Sid Waddell would say, 'Here we goowww then'. Murray breaks, we have a game. Federer holds and it's goodnight Vienna.
Fuctifano
You can get 10/1 on Murray now- anyone fancy it? Thought not. Fed has been too good, I said Fed in 4 but looks like 3 now unless Murray starts serving magnificently.
StewartyMac
You can get 10/1 on Murray now- anyone fancy it? That's shite odds considering the circumstances.
theentomologist
at this rate we might get a only fools classic episode repeat to fill the time seriously though, he needs to stem the tide right here, and it isn't happening. If he could somehow grab this set it might unsettle Rog a little. this tactic at this moment seems to be working a bit better. what is it hes doign differently? the serve still looks shite.
StewartyMac
Classic quote from Cedric Pioline after losing a Wimbledon final to Pete Sampras; 'He just doesn't let you breathe'. It's the same deal here. Federer is just too good. He isn't disgracing himself, he's just got Federer on a good day, and there's no player in the world beats Federer on a good day.
Fuctifano
Think Murray believes the game's up now. Fed breaks now and you can put the kettle on. Edited January 31, 2010 by Fuctifano

Hank Scorpio
I've kinda lost interest in watching this now. Sitting watching Federer beast shot after shot past Murray from the baseline has unfortunately lost it's appeal.
