Loki
Bit underwhelming for Djoko that he only managed one GS this season tbh. But he ran into two players playing their best tennis of their respective careers. Wawrinka will never play better and neither will Nishikori. Nadal at Roland Garros won't be beaten by Djokovic. Could have been worse as he did his best to gift Federer the match at Wimbledon
Co.Down Hibee
Was Federer actually injured? The reason he had given was that he wasn't match fit due to playing for nearly 3 hours in the semi and that he wasn't fit for it at his age, surely if he wasn't actually injured he should have played the final, or am I looking at this the wrong way?
lichtie23
Apparently it's a back injury. I have no doubt he could have played but knew he would have been destroyed by Novak
Loki
There was also rumours that Stan whacked him in the dressing room after the match.

Loki
Thought they were pals It's John McEnroe that said that. Plenty of pals have hit each other.
Nightmare
Rumours Stan was raging at Mirka distracting him, which she's done before (apparently). Whole thing seems a bit weird, especially with the DC final coming up very soon.

Loki
Making noises in his serving action, she did that at Wimbledon. He lost as he played ever match point so poorly, charging the net and leaving massive gaps easily passed.
John Lambies Doos
Distracting him how? Flashing a bit of thigh? That wouldnt be pretty imo.

HibeeJibee
Roger Federer won the Davis Cup for Switzerland earlier. He's now won the Davis Cup; Wimbledon, French, US and Australian Opens; the Tour Finals; and the Olympics (Doubles tbf). You can even throw a Hopman Cup in there. I take it that "clean-sweep" is without parallel in tennis history?
Loki
Hopman Cup is an exhibition tournament and has no real value. Andre Agassi has won everything, Federer is still to win singles Gold at the Olympics. Djokovic is missing the French Open and Olympic gold, Nadal is missing a World Tour Finals trophy. Rod Laver missed out on a World Tour Final trophy. They started in 1970. Emerson won everything that he could have won. Also players in the professional era used to skip the Australian Open due to costs and travelling there, Borg only played there once. But to answer your question Andre Agassi has done it. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all have something missing from their CV.
blue4578
Dani Vallverdu and Jez Green leave Murray's coaching team. A bit surprising; will be interested to see if he replaces them with anyone else.

blue4578
Mauresmo next Almost certainly would have announced that today if it was the case. I hope he is not just sticking with her out of stubbornness.
Shannon
I just don't see what Mauresmo adds for Murray, he needs a far more experienced coach. I can see him sticking with her for full year before realising he needs another Lendl.

You do realise that Mauresmo has more coaching experience than Lendl?
peasy23
No doubt he has had a fairly disappointing end to the season, and I can't help but think that fatigue played a big part in his performance at the tour finals after having to cram in so much tennis just to qualify. He hadn't won anything for over a year before winning 3 of those tournaments late on in the season. If Mauresmo gets stick for the defeats surely she must get some credit for the wins too? Lendl was only ever involved for the slams too, he wasn't willing afaik to be involved as a full time coach, which Murray obviously wants/needs.
