dogmc
Scumbags shouting during play. Nae need. Some atmosphere but some folk (a load of Argentines) just being dicks. No arguing but think the Belgian crowd in Davis Cup was worse

Distant Doonhamer
Absolutely fantastic. I guess the fact that it was a relatively slow court at least in part explains 14 breaks of serve. What a career our boy has had and hopefully more to come.

What a career our boy has had and hopefully more to come. Especially given context of era he has played in. Still reckon with the benefit of a stargate and modern sports science very few of the 80s or 90s players could better Murray.
Distant Doonhamer
I really like Del Potro. There was a moment which the commenators didn`t pick up on when Murray played a fabulous low sliced backhand and Del Potro said "Bueno" before it had even landed. Good guy. MONKMAN
Andy hitching a lift on Rafa's jet to Cincinatti. These boys definitely embrace their inner #Dece.

Felt for him tbh.....cant be many silver medallists who have had to face 3 of the greatest their sport has ever produced and performed quite so well.

TheScarf
He really is some boi. What he's achieved in easily the hardest era of men's tennis is nothing shorts of incredible. And I feel quite privileged that I've been around to watch and support him through his career.
Elixir
Really hope he goes for it in Cincinnati. Could be really important ranking points in the race for world number one and will keep his incredible run going into the US Open.
Tamdunk
That was some match, they battered each other out there. Del Potro's only chance was to go either 2 up or 2-1 up imo, even if he had managed to win the 4th set I think Murray would have taken the 5th quite easily. It's a shame cos he played some tournament, and I've have supported him over anyone else but Murray.
Tommy Nooka
Del Potro certainly looks like he's going to be a big threat if he can get himself fully fit and stay that way. He could have won that in straight sets last night if he had been a bit fitter, was blowing after 3 games (one of those games lasted about 15 minutes though). Despite this he bossed Murray for long periods. I used to really dislike him when he was younger but he has grown on me and developed a nice bit of sportsmanship over the years too. Unlike oor lad! [emoji6] When is Murray anything other than a good sport? Only have to look at Davis Cup wins when he stopped the celebrations to comiserate with opponents.
Tommy Nooka
Just now, dogmc said: When is Murray anything other than a good sport? I seldom see Murray congratulate his opponent after a well played point, it's usually all wailing and gnashing. He's not a bad sport by any means but he's not very gracious during a game, Del Potro and Djokovic in particular will always acknowledge good play.
