Hopefully he'll get the Davis Cup off his schedule completely and launched right into the sea for next season.

I said similar the other week. It's a team event and he's already won it. I suppose it was a bit of a surprise Britain winning without him against Serbia. Plus as it's in Glasgow and he went out of the US Open before he'd have liked to, I can see why he'd play here with a chance to get to the final again and possibly retain it.

Hopefully he patches it from next year onwards.

Remember when we were so shite in the Davis Cup we didn't care?

Simpler times [emoji20]

I know that I'll be bashed but I don't care about the Davis Cup. I just like to watch quality tennis and quality match ups. Andy is my favourite player but I'm happy that Delpo won because he deserves it. I hope to see the two of them play loads more quality matches!!
Davis Cup... meh

Not even that long ago. Thought Leon smith was unlucky not to win coach of the year at spoty last year. If they somehow come through and win I'd hope he'd win this time.....Chris Coleman or Eddie jones no doubt will be favourites

Dunno what to make of that, tbh. There's never any shame in losing to del Potro obviously, but given Murray is the fitter player, plus his five set record compared to him, it does seem pretty disappointing.

Everytime Andy Murray loses you go through the first four stages of the grieving process.

Shock - The mighty Andy Murray lost, with his superior fitness and all round excellentness. Arrrrgh!

Denial - How can he lose?  He has a great five set record and his opponent doesn't. Arrrrrrrgh!

Frustration - This was his big chance and he fucked it up.  Arrrrrrrrgh!

Depression - Oh I can't cope.

His grandfather was buried today.  In the circumstances I think any kind of display shows how much of a fighter he is.  He is protecting his back, hence his serve has dropped significantly over the last month.  He needs rested.  I hope he doesn't play doubles tomorrow.
