~~~ Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 Again I need to point out laughable scenario of the Scottish Government that keep telling us that Scotland has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol while using public money for an event named T in the park,that is renowned for its binge drinking Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Master Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 The money for the communities cup does not go to the SFA, it goes to the SPFL which is a commercial organisation. Actually, when the Scottish Government sponsored the League Cup (2011-13) the money went to the SFL - which was a not-for-profit unincorporated association of members. dogmc Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 It says a lot for the unionists on here that theyre moaning about £150k being put towards an event that provides huge profits both locally n nationally.....but billions being taken from scots families that are struggling to feed their kids to fund the trident white elephant, making London to Birmingham 20 mins quicker n improving London sewers....those projects cant be questioned. ... Perhaps you assume your knowledge from the many and various misleading memes that have been created to foster and promote resentment? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Baxter Parp Posted October 8, 2015 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Because titp making a profit has nothing to do with why the SNP goverment gave £150,000 to df concerts. It's the reason DF might not have staged the event, dimwit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~ Posted October 8, 2015 Share Posted October 8, 2015 How many is plenty? Nice deflection, if you're going to stick your head in the sand about the subject you'd be better off not posting on the thread. The Scottish government who had been banging on for years now about Scotland unhealthy relationship with alcohol shouldn't help fund an event that encourages drinking. The name of the event itself gives that away They fucked up, all governments make mistakes, this was one of them. Just accept it and move on. If the government can't give grants to cultural events because someone might get pished at them nothing would get a grant. You've got the cheek to say I'm deflecting? Fucksake. Kyle Posted October 8, 2015 Share Posted October 8, 2015 T in the park a cultural event. Very good Is it not a cultural event? There's a lot of pissed up neds, but it is a music festival which tries to cater for a huge audience. Certainly falls under the cultural bracket I'd say? ~~~ Posted October 8, 2015 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Of course it does, he's being a dick because he's wrong on the internet.So you support the Scottish government double standards when it comes to Scotland's attitude towards alcohol?Thats what it is. To describe T in the park as a culture event is laughable at best, I don't know any culture events in Scotland that has issues with drinking, drugs, violence, attempted rapes/sexual assaults/ murder, theft, etc... The government can't turn around and tell us they want to tackle the issue with alcohol, by introducing things such as the minimum price and keep the ban in place, yet pay for public money for a private company to hold the above events with all its issued because "it brings in money" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
