Distant Doonhamer
York out of the relegation zone. Beginnng to look like a decent appointment.
Jambo'ness
How has Riordan been? Not made the starting line-up, just the bench so far, with a cameo role on Tuesday. His only impact has been a paper report moaning about team-mates in China eating chicken feet!
Virtual Insanity
Despite his shenanigans when he left I've got a lot of time for McNamara, he has a good eye for a player and tries to get teams playing nice football. Hope this is the start of an upwards trend at York.

Stu
Relegated yesterday and the highlights showed him getting plenty of abuse from the fans at the end of the game. Looking forward to hearing how his chums on Sportsound manage to make him blameless for being involved in two relegations in one season.
fraser_smfc
For someone who comes across horribly, it escapes me how he has garnered so many pals in the Scottish press.
Thereisalight..
Did Riordan play much for them? Can't stand McNamara so its good to see a "top young manager" fail so spectacularly

Can't stand McNamara so its good to see a "top young manager" fail so spectacularly One start and three sub appearances going by Soccerbase. Give it to October and he'll be in the papers again whining about how unfair it is he hasn't got a club and he could still cut it in the Scottish Premiership. Jeez its quite scary (and funny) how much Riordan and McNamara have fell. 4 appearances for a deadbeat club battling relegation? How the mighty (overrated) have fallen
Peppino Impastato
Really sad case Riordan, best striker of a ball to have played in Scotland for 20 years and bucketloads of natural talent. If he wasn't a complete walloper he could have played for Liverpool or someone, players with much less talent than him have, Dirk Kuyt for instance couldn't lace Riordan's boots in the talent stakes. Complete waste from a waster, could have been a huge player for Scotland too.
cowdenbeath
York will surely get rid of him now their relegated, doubt if he would be the man to take them back up.

cowdenbeath
Were they not in the drop zone when he took over? They were away down the bottom not exactly sure but he's had about 3/4 of the season to try and keep them up.
7-2
Couldn't believe it when Chris Iwelumo was promoting him on the C5 programme last night. Talented young manager and coach apparently who 'has a good name in Scotland'. No, Chris, he doesn't, as your brief time with Saints will have taught you. Hammer Jag
I'll bite. His interviews with radio and newspapers have been top notch. He's identified problem areas and got them sorted. He tells it as the fans see it, compared to the previous guy, Wilcox, who trundled out excuse after excuse for failures. After a bit of unrest among fans at the start (while he was clearing out the dead wood), they have got right behind him now and have renewed confidence in escaping the drop. Called it.
