Mr Bairn

Yup. But most people's interpretation of that was the there was a divide in the military leadership. It was a ludicrously premature announcement, and suggested the military intelligence had lost its way. As has been stated, a Caliphate 2 is never going to happen.

Incidentally, those calling - understandably, I think - for heavy bombing and ground troops in retribution for Paris are missing the point. IS as an army is getting smashed. More troops aren't really going to speed up that particular process and in fact may hinder it.

That said, Erbil airport was particularly busy last night - for the first time in quite a while.

Quite. More bombing campaigns is one thing but NATO ground troops going in could only make things worse.

Of course, you could speed things up by providing logistical support for other groups that are fighting against IS, but it would be fair to say that no one is rushing to support Peshmerga. Wonder why.

BBC are saying that there have been multiple arrests in France of suspected terrorists.

If they were known to the authorities they should have cleaned the rats out earlier.

I hope the UK is more proactive.

Aye, they managed to catch that Jean Charles de Menezes just in time.

It would mean having to read the Quran and wear a dress, I think.

 7 minutes again, Mozza, you need to ditch those meetings.

And I think I speak for the majority when I say we all want to see that.

I think Sweet Pete has the photo's, I'm sure he'll be happy to PM you them.

Have they not changed the law so they aren't allowed any bullets except in an emergency?

I'm not certain, but I do know for sure that they have to store the gun and the ammunition separately.

My missus' father still has his old military gun and he done his time 30-35 years ago.

I'd assume the reason they don't dive in straight away is that monitoring them will open up other leads and other people involved. It's always going to be a difficult balancing act.

The French Government need to do more than just bombing the shit out of Syria and arresting anyone a bit suspicious to prevent this from happening again. France has treated it's immigrant population shockingly with them being marginalised and shunted into the suburbs and was inevitably going create discontent amongst youths and lead them to joining groups that rebel . They need to do more to integrate people into society and improve conditions for getting work and educate people or there's always going to be an underclass.
