Matched Betting

Hi mate.

Won on the back again.

You said above relying on losing to the exchange doesn't work. How come ??

What do you do with all the cash at the bookies ??

I think my Winnings took a hit today but not sure how? Still up but not as much.

Opened 7 new accounts with free bets and only up 50 quid. Is this because my exchange hasn't won or is this a usually average for 7 new accounts over the weekend ??

Cheers

Rich.

If you could reliably lose your cash to the exchanges you wouldn't have to place back bets. I've had a lot of surprising outcomes in games that I'd never have expected it's why I do matched betting instead of the normal way.

It's ok. Its profit I suppose.

I assume that when you open an account, get the free bet and lose to the exchange and your balance is zero, say with hills, don't worry just now.....just move on to the next offer. ??

Yup, at first when i started it i was trying to win my qualifying bet with the bookies and losing my free bet to the exchange, then withdraw all but a fiver from the bookie account

Then i lay a mug bet a few times during the week on the hope it came in to keep them sweet for reload offers

Seems a bit low, 50 quid from 95,would expect around 65 maybe, others might know better

I try and turn over 80% into cash.

Can be difficult on a single unless your odds are high and the match is tight.

I normally stick the free bet on two draw, 80-85% back.

Pain in the arse when it wins at the bookies, but it's not happened all that often

When using the oddsmatching software, quite often there are a few markets that are over 103/104% in the rating. I'm lucky in that I have a few grand in an account not really doing much, is it a risk to back at say £1000 while also laying, to guarantee a good profit?

Obviously wouldn't want to keep winning at the bookies but how risky would it be in terms of bookies not accepting the bet?

you wont make money if you back and lay with your own money unless you find a really really good match and even then for a tenner i was lucky if i won 15p, so for a grand bet your winning 15 quid and as BD says you might end up with your accounts fucked

Even if the exchange wins regularly?

You'll be seen as a value taker, regardless of if it wins or loses. Every pound you spend at a bookies is being laid off in the exchanges by them as well so they know exactly when someone is habitually arbing and the price you're backing at and the lay price on the exchanges when you backed. They can't prove you're lay betting but given there's tens of thousands of potential markets on a bookie at any time and only a couple of arbs, they can eliminate all doubt when you keep hitting them. An arb here and there doesn't hurt and can be passed off as an isolated incident if done irregularly but they'll come down on you like a ton of bricks if it's repeatedly happening.

If you really insist on doing this to make money here and there, look into dutching. It's basically covering all possible outcomes in separate bookies rather than exchanges.

Anyone done the no risk casino offers? I'm finding the advanced offers slow work at the moment, struggling for reasonable matches during the week.

Tried the new risk free fiver bet on Betfair https://promos.betfair.com/promotion?promoCode=5NLJEWELTWIST

went for £1 spins and got £50 on the second spin.

I do the casino offers. Some as low rated as 2 stars. I royally fucked one up the other day and lost about £40. My own fault. I changed the coin value to min, as your supposed to do. But this slot has a level slider I never noticed. I was doing £2.50 a spin instead of my intended 20p for ages. But all in all. I won £70 from bet fair Macau offer. £50 from a Ladbrokes offer and £130 from a risky Hills offer. Some of the other ones I've lost at most £5.

Made a mess of the bet188 offer. I read it as 1.5 and not 1.75 and placed a bet at 1.68 for my first bet but never realised until I had completed all 5 bets thinking I was due my £50 before reading back on PA.

I'm assuming that once my 6th (5th £50 bet at 1.75) is settled I'll be entitled to my £50 cash bonus?

Hi all.

Looking for another piece of help for the newbie.

I stuck a 37.5 quid double on at bet365.

Stoke at 5.5 &

Man City draw. At 4.50 hoping to lose to the exchange.

I have laid off the first leg on the exchange losing 151 pounds, with a lay of 33 pounds.

At the moment I can cash out for 161.08 is this 10 pounds profit ? Or am I missing the lay of 33 on the exchange.

If the bet comes in with bet365 it is due to win 928 pounds.

Is there anything I can do to maximise profit on this ??

Thanks for the advice.

Rich.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but to me it looks like your current liability is £188.50.

If you were to cash out you would get £161.08 from bet365 plus £33 from the exchange (minus commission), say £192.58 return

Giving a net profit of £4.08

Apologies if the above isn't correct, it's been a long day.

I wouldn't personally cash out for that return but that's entirely up to you. Incidentally, was the original bet placed to initiate a bonus?
