A matter we actually backed you on

If you know your history and all that

They did.

Rangers supported Celtic and opposed the proposed sanctions against the club for flying the Ireland flag (amongst others) atop the main stand

One club and its chairman were quite vociferous in their calls for Celtic to be bagged for this, an Edinburgh club but not the one you would think and brilliantly ironic given the name of his club

The only real difference between you is the colour of your scarves.

It certainly is, Im not supporting it Im merely stating thats there is obviously a very strong connection between Celtic and the ROI.

The bulk of the Celtic travelling support from Ireland come from the Northern side of the border.

And?

Celtic don't have a very strong connection with the Bailed Out Statelet?

No, his point is misplaced , they may have a bigger traveling support from NI but that purely because ,it's a lot closer , there are far more Celtic supporters clubs in the ROI than there are in the north.

Exactly, So if it was your dad who is Catholic he couldn't play for Rangers. It's a game of fitba, how not?

If he was called Joseph Ignatius Benedictus O'Shaughnessy he probably wouldn't fit on the team lines, tbf.
