It won't happen for 2 reasons:

(1) - Channels Islands are part of English football: their players get capped for England, their clubs play in their pyramid, Inter-League & FA cups, etc. One of Gibraltar's arguments was their lack of any alternative opportunity.

(2) - UEFA changed their rules to disallow non-sovereign states. Gibraltar got around this because they applied before the rules were changed.

Yep, the great irony being that under the current rules Scotland wouldn't be allowed to join.

It's not ironic at all....if it wasn't for Scotland n England there wouldn't be international football....or are you arguing England currently wouldn't be allowed to join eufa? ?

Guernsey are doing it better, trying to launch their team up the pyramid. Currently stuck in Ryman League Div 1 South but can see them making it to Conference South level within a few years.

Much more productive way to go IMO than regularly being tanked by Belarus and Macedonia in front of 500 fans.
