booitsme7
What a day for Scottish tennis. Congratulations to Jamie Murray & Gordon Reid and let's hope Andy can make it a treble. Only shame was that Gordon Reid could not win his doubles as he was 5-0 in the final set before losing it 7-5. Also great to see Angelique Kerber winning her first GS title. G-MAN
I see the BBC have Konta, born in Australia to Hungarian parents as ENGLISH. Oh but look, BRITAIN has 2 winners at the Australian Open.
Spectre
Why do players in doubles do the fist bumping/hand touching stuff after almost every point. Incredibly irritating to watch. My understanding of this is they do it to increase confidence or for some kind of psychological boost. also happens in sports like Volleyball where win or lose all 6 players go in and high five each other or huddle together briefly. I think it looks a bit weird too however since everyone is doing it, I presume there must be some evidence that it benefits the overall performance. Maybe some successful pair did it and it became the done thing. Who knows though? Either way hugely fecking irritating.

Who knows though? Either way hugely fecking irritating. If every doubles team does it, then 50% win and 50% lose, so I'd agree it would be very hard to prove it benefits anyone. Spectre
certainly agree it would be hard to prove any clear benefit, It's not something I have seen with anyone who plays recreationally so presumably it has been coached into them. Anyway, no more doubles for now. Not working on a Sunday during a Murray final for the first time in a while, so really looking forward to tomorrow morning
ChoppeReid
This is by far the last optimistic I have been about a Andy Murray final. Hopefully that is a good sign. Anyone else got a bit more belief?
davied85
Murray 4/1 at the bookies surely that's to big a price not to bet .he is to good a player for that price for a single match
Ira Gaines
I've not got much belief but I'll still enjoy it. Likely to be high quality stuff.
Mark Connolly
If Andy fails to win tomorrow, will he be the only Scot to have played this year and not won anything?
caleyjaggi
I like an outside bet now and then. I've got Murray to win in straight sets at 12/
Dougie Mills
I like an outside bet now and then. I've got Murray to win in straight sets at 12/1 U could've got 22/1 at Hills!
THE KING
It must be like a boxer having to face Muhammad Ali every few months if you want to win a slam.
MONKMAN
Novak is just too good now. 3-0 is only 11/10, not really much value in that.
ICTChris
Murray pushed Novak there, be interesting to see how his service game goes.

ChoppeReid
That was an awful service game to start. Three into net followed by a double fault!
