I'm quite disappointed in The Avalanches song. Turned it off after a couple minutes. Does it get better?

If you don't like the first part of the song, then you won't like the rest.

Apparently it's nowhere near the best song on the record though.

Got to admit that I'd never heard the Trashcan Sinatras before, until a track came up on my Discover Weekly on Spotify. The album is incredible and with more listens will probably be my favourite album this year. Very impressed with the new Low Anthem album as well, great mix of their classic sound with some utterly bizarre stuff thrown into the mix as well.

That Car Seat Headrest album is a topper. Can't quite put my finger on who they sound like, which can only be a good thing, I suppose.

Alex Toldeo's got a good sense of humour.

It's terrific. Even if his name's Will.

Aye, sorry, Will Toledo. Not sure what the best track on it is but I love Vincent, especially the line about the Wikipedia page. It's just little things like that that push it up a level.

I don't know which version you have, but the version in which he "samples" the Cars is fantastic.  Thoughtful, melodic indy rock.  I'm very, very impressed.

I've not listened to the whole album but the bits I've heard it sounds like the strokes to me.
