Jacksgranda
was there football before '92? Yes, but not as we know it, Jim.
dogmc
Nonsense. They don't need that many staff to run the stadium and clubAye really?? You familiar with running a large business? There may well be areas that can be streamlined and may be excessive salaries involved but the general naivety among football fans about the logistics of operating that size and complexity of facility and business is always staggering. Boo Khaki
Think Brighton and Hove Albion are another club who have done all 4 divisions in England. Leyton Orient as well.

trainspotter
How so? It's Eddie Davies who is owed the money, as mentioned in the linked article.

How the f**k can you get into 200million quids worth of debt? Yeah, at least Leeds managed to challenge for the Premiership and Champions League with their overspending. paddymcp
With all the problems at Bolton if Lennon keeps them up it would probably be a better achievement than anything he done in his time at Celtic IMO.

HTG
Club has been sold for £7.5 million to the Sports Shield Group Consortium led by Dean Holdsworth. Today's scheduled court hearing for the HMRC winding up order has been put back two weeks. Interesting to see what the £7.5m secures. If it's something similar to what Big Haunds got at Rangers then it sounds cheap - assuming they'll be able to dump the bulk of the debt. And if they get the players for that too then they can start with a blank piece of paper.
CM.
So Blackburn got more for Rhodes than Bolton got for the whole club?
peasy23
Obviously the first thing the new owners need to do is cough up £2 million to HMRC. They also brought in some cash last week by selling their training ground to Wigan.

cowdenbeath
Don't know about bottom league, thought Swansea had been down there mind. Oldham have never played in the bottom league since the EPL was formed. Last time they were in the old 4th division was 69/70. Swansea were in league 2 in 2004/05.
