Too many clubs sat on their arses for years showing no ambition happy to take the SFA check every year. Good luck to the clubs who want to grow.

Do you mean financially doped as in owners and directors who are willing to invest in their club and show a bit of ambition?

fridaynight 🔴🔵 The Caley v Raith Rovers 🔵🔵
paddymcp replied to Stephen Malkmus's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
The atmosphere at the Caley Stadium is akin to a Lowland League game, for a city the size of Inverness it is really a poor turn out. A spell in the seaside leagues is deserved IMO -
Dont mind a bit of shithousery but Utd actively keeping fans out because there shitebags means one and all should hope for a Rovers win on Sat and a great big GIRFU.

If you want pointless sideways passing then put Billy Giilmour as your pivot. always would prefer someone more dynamic in there.

Adams is generally his favoured striker if all fit tbf.

Gunn Patterson Hendry Porteous/Souttar Tierney Robertson Christie Gilmour McGinn McTominay Armstrong Adams. Ryan Christie should be tried in the deeper role IMO. He's been very good in the EPL so his inclusion is warranted.

Artificial pitch vote
paddymcp replied to Eaststandee's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
With all the millions the SFA are making from Scotland's success they could use that money to subsidise and help the clubs to make improvements on all the pitches. I don't entirely buy the weather argument, England has similar weather and all their pitches look like bowling greens, just a lack of Investment. If clubs having to invest in their pitches to improve the overall product means having less money to buy shite players then good.- 283 replies

The Partick Thistle thread
paddymcp replied to South Lanarkshire Jag's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
X2. If he persists with this same goalkeeper and defensive set up which is leaking 4 or 3 goals a game he deserves the sack for his lack of balls/brains. -
The Partick Thistle thread

First time seeing Ross Stewart and he genuinely looked like a competition winner IMO. -
The New Raith Rovers Thread
paddymcp replied to Hank Scorpio's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
With this rumoured vote happening at the end of the season to outlaw plastic pitches am I correct in that if Livi stay up and Raith get promoted they could both just vote no and veto it? I’m sure all votes are 11-1 to get through? Could be wrong -
Rangers v Ross County: Valentines Day
paddymcp replied to AJF's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Rangers had 43 shots (23 on target). I'm not sure I've ever seen a number like that in a 90minute game. Maybe a stat guy could confirm this? -
Who's their good players? They're on course for being one of the worst ever sides in the top division. there pish mate each and every one of them

Thistle certainly seemed to be riding the momentum wave last year in the play offs. They were 18-3 up in all the play off games until 20 mins to go in Dingwall. Inexplicable that they never made it through. The bottom 6 in the SPL look poor too me would expect this seasons final to go to the wire again.

I actually like that they’ve introduced Welsh and Irish teams to the competition. Gives fans trips and days out to places they otherwise wouldn’t have. Lighten up.

Be aswell just playing it at Airdrie's stadium. do a 5er a ticket or something, try and fill the place.

Raith Rovers v's Airdrie 03/02
paddymcp replied to Zen Archer (Raconteur)'s topic in Domestic Cup Football
This low camera angle at Starks is ruining my tv experience. That is all. -
Predictions: BBC FRIDAY NIGHT - Airdrie v Hearts. BBC SATURDAY MORNING - Aberdeen v Bonnyrigg. Viaplay usual Celtic/Rangers ties.

I wonder if Tom Cairney's granda is the now infamous Frank Cairney. Done a little deep dive on him there and apparently his scottish side is from Uddingston which is around where Frank is based. And they do have a passing resemblance with the bushy eyebrows. It would maybe go some way to explain him patching scotland as it coincided with FC's convictions etc. This is just a complete stab in the dark*

When a guy walks into a steakhouse shooting a machine gun I think a lawyer will be able to convince a jury most people could assume their life’s are in danger and although the attack was probably quite vicious how are they to know what else he’s carrying who else is coming etc. what would you do if your sitting with your kids and theirs bullets flying? - got what he deserved and it was ultimately caused by the nob going in the first place. They’ll all get something like Manslaughter imo

Seems to be me he couldn't deal with the fact his burd was going with some other guy hence all the desperate agitated videos. He basically predicted his own demise. Would imagine it'll be some daft fire-in who has agreed to do it cause nobody gets away with assassinations these days.

The Famous Aberdeen’s European Tour 2023/24
paddymcp replied to Frank Grimes's topic in Scots in Europe
Would Aberdeen fans prefer to go through in the qualifier in the EL or drop down to the ECL. If it was my team I’d rather to watch competitive games with at least a small chance of progressing from a group no real fun in 5-0 skuddings against some of the elite apart from the bevvy up. From a coefficient perspective I hope they drop down to the ECL if we have another season like the last our coefficient will drop like a stone and the 3rd place guaranteed European football will soon be over. Hearts two wins over some Latvian mob somewhat stopped it reaching Welsh levels. -
