Let's just hope Scottish folk are more level headed and don't try and start it up here too.

Genuinely think the key thing here is to make sure every group of Facebook da's end up eith a member or two jailed when they thought they were just going to TAKE ARE COUNTRY BACK!!!! Once you know someone that gets several punished for this shit, you are less likely to show up for round 2

Aye, less than 12hrs after he started claiming a white on white stabbing in Stirling was a black Muslim getting revenge for what's happening in England.

All i know is they cant force people up here to do the public order training and i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, days off constantly cancelled and no extra money. Also ive never heard Ian Tomlinson stuff as a barrier to people applying for it, generally yes people dont think they’ll be backed for using any force and given the trial by social media stuff you cant blame them. I dont think ive ever seen a pro palestine march or anything similar other descend into anything remotely close to where you could justify that kind of force.

I dont know that i agree with the first bit, but county lines gangs are absolutely showing us that criminals have the advantage. I would be careful with the whole scottish folks arent like that etc, we have the same type of groups up here, but a smaller population so not as prevalent.

^^^ this.  The last thing we need is false equivalency when dealing with situations such as this.

I support the protests against the terrible actions of the Israeli government but if said protesters started trying to burn down hotels with people inside I’d want all hell let lose on them.

Whilst I'm inclined to agree, the magnifying effect of social media can't be underestimated here. That's the real cesspit that needs dealt with. There are a huge number of people who should be facing attempted murder charges there. Imagine in the cold light of day, being OK with, or in the worst cases, actively trying to burn other humans alive because they weren't born on the same part of a large rock as you.

By the account of some lawyer on Twitter, who was involved in a lot of cases at some riots last decade, most of the rioters will face 4+ year sentences, and those at the hotel found to have started a fire or barricaded the door while be charged with attempted murder and could face life.

Poverty stricken individuals brainwashed into blaming Muslims amd that's their life now effectively over.
