forever_blue
Maybe I live in a pleasant racist free bubble but I don't think there are many communities in Scotland that rival Luton in terms of racial tensions around Muslims and non Muslims. Please correct me if I am wrong though. Some parts of the Southside of glasgow have some issues , nowhere near the scale of Luton , think there is issues in govanhill between some of the Muslim population and Romanian population
Glenconner
Apart from the hook guy and Anjem choudray and his pals, where are all these 'hate preacher's'? Jack Glass died years ago.

Must be pretty bad if it's any worse than the shite the natives get up to.

Bambino7
Some of the views on this thread is extremely enlightening. Tommy Robinson is a person someone would piss on if on fire but would let die for being an extremist and thats not extreme? He hit a police officer he didn't run a pedo rape ring in Bradford. I think he's actually scared deep down when he see's islamic hate marches in his city. Who wouldnt be? How do many on here feel about the orange marches? but a much more extreme version of the orange march trying to recruit and openly stating during marches the law they want to enforce want to rape and kill your kids and wifes? because it does happen. People reply and respond even on the likes of this forum - they are scum, racists etc.

What would happen? People have a blinkered view I've learned on this thread because unlike religious hatred the average Killie fan or St Mirren fan have to listen to normal and can't stand they don't have to put up with radges bumming up radge extreme views so instead of going against them they go against the radge defense views because we've at least seen some of them in action. mjw
Half a dozen idiots having a pop a soldiers marching through Luton is what spurred the ex football hooligan into forming the EDL. It was perfect for a bunch of thugs who were looking at serious jail time if they were lifted at a match. They got to travel the country getting pissed and acting up with police protection instead of an escort. Has anyone on P&B ever met a Muslim who wants Sharia law?
Granny Danger
Half a dozen idiots having a pop a soldiers marching through Luton is what spurred the ex football hooligan into forming the EDL. It was perfect for a bunch of thugs who were looking at serious jail time if they were lifted at a match. They got to travel the country getting pissed and acting up with police protection instead of an escort. Has anyone on P&B ever met a Muslim who wants Sharia law? I have known very few Muslims in my lifetime; I certainly cannot claim I have ever had a Muslim that I could class as a friend. I've never went out of my way to discuss their religious beliefs. On the one or two occasions, over many years, when the subject has come up tangently, they have not been forthcoming. This has left me with the impression that there is a reluctance for Muslims to discuss their beliefs, particularly in wider general terms with non Muslims, or at least folk they don't know well. Of course this is just my personal experience and is purely anecdotal. Of course anyone answering that question can only offer an anecdotal answer. BTW if everyone on here answered 'NO' to that question you realise that this doesn't mean much?
Glenconner
I'd get the impression Robinson or whatever he call himself, would be happy to hate anybody. Bet there's been far right activity in Luton going back a hundred years. Ffs, the British Nationalist scene was up and running weeks after the end of WW2. Remember reading about one crackpot that was active for 40 years on the far right. Until his mother mentioned she was brought up Jewish!!!

One of the many problems the right wing has is articulating their concerns. You illustrate this.
Grim O'Grady
When Dzeko used to play for man city I posted (on Facebook, to some other 1/2wit racist). Can you spot the Muslims & posted Y Toure, Nasri & Dzeko pics, obviously he chose the black faces. Too thick to even use google. carpetmonster
Bambino - between Derek Riordan and Tommy Robinson you seem to have quite the fetish for sticking up for halfwits. Any particular reason? -
Bairney The Dinosaur
Should have read the title of the thread more carefully. After the first page I was vowing never to watch Time team again.
