Mr. Brightside
Seems to me that it’s a cup competition done right. I would actually go a step further and say that all of the top division teams have to play each other in the first round, from then on its unseeded and the lower division team always plays at home.
Bully Wee Villa
It's not done entirely right. Having a final on a Tuesday night so lots of people won't be able to attend is merde.

When PSG knock in their 7th just before half time, half the crowd will f**k off anyway.
Allan Jacobsen
Bad week for Les Herbiers. Lose in a cup final on Tuesday, relegated to the fourth level tonight.
Bully Wee Villa
I hope they serenade him with "Tuchel! Tuchel! I wanna feel your body, your heartbeat next to mine".They probably won't though, because they are no fun and like to pretend they don't speak English.

Called it. Only surprise is that Metz were somehow worse this season. Bordeaux take the final European spot ahead of Saint-Etienne on goal difference. Saint-Etienne had been on a good run since Debuchy joined but defeats against Bordeaux and Monaco humped them. Battered Lille 5-0 tonight but unfortunately Bordeaux also won 4-0 against Metz. In Ligue 2, Ajaccio and Le Havre were supposed to face each other last night to determine who would face 18th placed Toulouse in the Ligue 1 relegation playoff. Ajaccio fans had other ideas though and decided to attack the Le Havre team bus. Game is being played tomorrow instead. Personally, I'd have given Le Havre the automatic win.
GNU_Linux
Nice to see Ajaccio filling the void of Corsican teams with arsehole fans after Bastia got booted to the 5th tier
Allan Jacobsen
Ajaccio beat Le Havre on penalties. Sounded quite an entertaining match. 1-1 after 90 mins and then Ajaccio got a player sent off and a penalty awarded against them for insulting the referee. Le Havre score the penalty and a fight ensues. End result, another red card for Ajaccio and two red cards for Le Havre - including the goalscorer. Ajaccio then equalise in the 126th minute before going through on penalties. Shambles that Le Havre didn't automatically go through after what happened on Friday. Hope Toulouse smash Ajaccio.
NorthernLights
Half time in the first leg of the play off and its 1-0 to Toulouse. Games played behind closed doors are brutal though to watch. Something about the complete lack of crowd noise makes it a strange thing to watch.

Even the decision to force Ajaccio to play in Montpellier was lenient. At least two chances to do the right thing and they shat it both times.

Aye after I’d read up about what happened I was raging they didn’t get binned altogether, with either Le Harve playing Toulouse or the game being null and void.

Shotts56
I see BT have just announced a new deal to show French football again. Pleased with that, saves having to mess about with "creative" ways to watch it like I did last weekend.
