GTG_03
Because it's no surprise and nothing will happen anyway? Pretty depressing if this is the case. Surely any MP found not to have followed the election rules should be sacked with some sort of punishment.

Shanghai Loon
If the tory election fraud is proved to have influenced the vote in any seat, then a paltry fine is not enough. This fine makes a mockery of the whole process of government. IMO, these seats should be put forward for by-elections. The sitting MP suspended from the HoC until the by-election and depending on how complicit the MPs were, then from standing again in that and any other seat.

mjw
Meanwhile back in democracy.'A controversial proposal to ask new mothers who have been raped for verification if they wish to claim tax credits for more than two children has become law without any debate or vote in parliament. The so-called rape clause, which will be applied as part of new restrictions on tax credit entitlement, was added to legislation late on Wednesday as an amendment to an existing act. The plans will come into effect within a month.'

Ah from Liberty GB who once upon a time were Third Way, Patrick Harrington's wee gang from the days when the Third Position nutcases (Nick Griffin & Harrington) were battling the Flag nutcases for control of the National Front - British politics only example of two bald men fighting over a toothless comb outside of contemporary Scottish Labour. Really must be a slow day on Twitter if any of those twats are trending.
